The owner Keith gave us a very warm welcome - what a pleasant gentleman.. The cottage is ideally located in a beautiful area and is totally peaceful. It was well equipped, beautifully furnished and very clean and there was no unpleasant doggy odour within the cottage. (We have unfortunately found this to be the case on other dog friendly holidays we’ve taken.) The Cottages’s location is ideal for short drives to Linton and Lynmouth and for those wanting a walking holiday there are numerous walks in the area. We would definitely stay there again and can highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is seeking a peaceful and tranquil holiday.

One of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in.. We especially liked the beautiful lounge, the fully-equipped kitchen and the secluded garden. Our host was very friendly and welcoming, but respected our privacy, for which we were grateful.

Me and my mum spent a week at Spring Cottage and had a wonderful time.. The cottage is very cosy and the location is brilliant for exploring Lynton and Lynmouth. The owner Keith was lovely and even dropped a pint of milk round when we first arrived so we could have a cup of tea. My only compliant was that the kitchen equipment could do with some upgrading. We tended to go out for lunch and come back to the cottage in the evenings to cook dinner. There were plenty of glasses, plates and cutlery etc but there were no wooden cooking implements, the knives were very blunt with no sharpener and the pans and were a little scratched. Also worth noting that there’s no WIFI and the TV is very small and only gets channels 1 to 5. We didn’t mind too much as we were happy to relax, read and listen to music but WIFI or a DVD player etc would have been nice so we could have watched a film in the evening. Other than that we had a lovely time and would come back again.

The house is remote and wonderfully quiet and well equipped (soap dispensers would be useful).. We would have appreciate some extra touches like comfortable pillows, a couple of throws to cover up with on a chilly evening, and a rug on the cold kitchen floor. The walks information was helpful, so would be an OS map of the area.

The cottage was lovely, only one little niggle the shower had a poor flow and the lighting in the bathroom left a lot to be desired.. Would go back again. Loved the peace and quite.

A lovely little cottage set in wonderful countryside and just a short drive to Lynton and Lynmouth.. The Cliff Railway was amazing and the Craft Centre in Lynton was a great find. The only thing to consider when booking this cottage is that the ceiling in the living room is a bit low so beware if you are particularly tall.

Lovely cottage but very cold downstairs.. Only one radiator which is located ubder the stairs so the heat just goes up. Log burner but no logs . Bathroom freezing . All downstairs tiled so very cild under foot. No heating in the bathroom.

The cottage was lovely and set in a lovely peaceful place, the track up to the cottage is a little precarious but we managed it fine.. Really enjoyed our holiday and it was a lovely break.

Lovely quiet Cottage with only the wildlife to keep us company, we even had a Roe Deer passing by on the drive one morning as we awoke.. The cottage is convenient for Lynton and Lynmouth which also made it a very good location for travelling both east and west to visit other coastal towns and villages. The owners were very helpful if you required anything and left us to enjoy our stay for the week we were there. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

The perfect location to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Well kept and comfortable accommodation with the bonus of a secluded garden to sit and listen to the birds singing and if you're lucky watch the deer over the valley. Friendly and helpful owners. I do not own a 4x4 so was a bit worried after reading a review saying I would need one to get to the cottage and to negotiate the drive, yes it's steep but no problems getting around in my fiesta. Lots of places near by to visit, would definitely recommend valley of the rocks, absolutely stunning. Can't wait to go back again and relax.

The enclosed rear garden is not really enclosed on all four sides our dog is not only a pet but also a top winning show dog so had to keep him on the lead when we went out there but other than that it was a great holiday and very comfortable lovely and warm.. The notes in cottage say rear is not enclosed but your discription said it was which is reason we booked it with you.

A wonderful, isolated, hillside setting with very friendly and helpful owners.. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The holiday let is down a narrow lane which is quite steep and twisting but it is well worth the effort negotiating these. There are no traffic or other noises and the surrounding hills and trees are wonderful. The property is only a few miles from the moors. I have to say that the owners leave you alone but are very helpful indeed. Thank you Keith.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ragstone.. We enjoyed the fantastic location without noise, air and light pollution. The cottage is modern and tastefully furnished. With a lovely display of flowers from the garden, we made feel very welcome. Our two teenagers enjoyed the cottage very much too. We enjoyed the information about all the walks in the area. The communication with the owners was really good and helped us getting ready for our stay. Thank you!

Access road is very steep with few passing places. Driveway to property is steep, uneven and overgrown with plants and bushes. Glad we had a 4x4! Also abandoned vehicle parked on driveway. Upstairs of property immaculately clean with lovely freshly washed bedding. However bedroom door handle forever falling off (must have been seen when bedding changed!), radiators get warm but are air locked hence noisy. No mop provided and no door mat by balcony exit door. Tin opener broken. No wok. Beds could be made more comfortable with newer mattresses. Kitchen cupboards all smelt of damp / musty to the point where it lingered on dishes/cutlery despite me washing all items upon arrival. Lovely and peaceful first day but not therafter due to owner using trials bike and washing it opposite balcony area (and the quad too). Also owners park their vehicles by balcony one of which has noisy exhaust so disturbs you. Rear garden plants overgrown by kitchen window. Balcony at top of stairs loose and no child gate so could be dangerous for children. Obvious that owners have kept clean and spent a lot on living area furnishings so with a bit more TLC to resolve above then it would be excellent. Would be nice for owners to leave a contact number for if assistance required.

Remote rural location (which suited us) but central for North Devon Coast and Moors. Lovely views from windows and birdsong stunning. Nice to hear the noise of the stream making its way to the sea further down the steep valley too. The owner was very nice and helpful and we would visit this cottage again.

This was a great place to get away for the week! There were stunning views from the upstairs windows and a decent sized garden at the rear which our dog loved. The owners were very nice and asked us if there was anything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage and would recommend it to other people.

Spring Cottage was a cosy hideaway, off the beaten track, which was what we wanted, but sufficiently close to Lynton and Lynmouth and other beauty spots which we wanted to visit.

A lovely out of the way rural location, yet only a few miles from the coast and the small town of Lynton, with a modest range of shops. Exmoor is all around, especially close to the east. A nice cosy house, good central heating.

A cosy cottage in a very rural setting, yet only about 3 miles from the small town of Lynton. The central heating kept us cosy, the bathroom/WC was on the ground floor, but only down 8 stairs, and it worked well for us.The only sounds were birds by day, total silence (apart from rain and hail) at night. The kitchen was well fitted, though a dishwasher would have helped. There was a lack of coat-hooks, which would have been useful when we returned from a wet walk.
