Area
Resting betwixt East Dumfries and Galloway is the town of Annan, which is rich in history of Roman camps and where Thomas Carlyle worked. The town celebrates the Riding of the Marches each year, where you can see parades and competitions. The area boasts scenic villages, hamlets and a stunning coastline with hidden coves and sandy beaches. Nearby is Caerlaverock Castle, Scotland's most ruined castle, steeped in history.
