We have had a lovely holiday despite very poor weather for August, and the cottage has proven to be an excellent base for our many activities. Highly recommend the local restaurant Y Gwynedd Inn, especially Thursday evening Steak night. The Heights is best avoided. The cottage is very nice, but it could be soooo much better. As per previous comments, it desperately needs a deep clean, especially under beds and sofas, on top of wardrobes, and the bathroom fan. We were forced to do a lot of cleaning ourselves when we arrived, including washing a set of dirty bedding with stains and hairs, which really isn’t acceptable especially in these COVID times and with the August rates of £2000+ that we paid for 10 nights. Even so our 4 legged friend often appeared covered in dust and dirt. Also previously mentioned in the guest book, the external doors are difficult to lock, and 2 of the bedroom doors do not close properly. Time spent on maintenance is much needed. I could spend considerable time writing an extensive list of maintenance suggestions.

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable, and we particularly liked the attic bedroom which was very quaint and peaceful.. The cottage is in a great location for shops, pubs and restaurants in the village centre (we thought the Peak restaurant was especially good - but currently only open Wed-Sat). We also found Llanberis an ideal base for travelling around all corners of northern Snowdonia. However don’t expect to be able to park in the street outside as there are only 3 spaces and some vehicles never seen to move! But there is a cheap car park 3 mins walk away by the lake (accessed down the one way street opposite the end of the road), with no charge at all after 16.30 and until 10.00 the following day at the time of our stay, and £1 per hour up to 3 hrs max at other times). However I think the charging hours probably extend in peak season. Having said all this, we found the road outside the cottage quiet enough to be able to stop for a few mins on “double yellows” to unload upon arrival.

A really great short break, fantastic cottage with everything we needed to hand, superbly comfortable beds and couches and ideal location just off the High Street for all shops and food outlets.. Parking was no problem at all, if no space available outside then there are plenty of spaces either on the High Street or on the public car park about 50 yards away and free overnight from 4.30pm until 10.00 am. The problem we had with keys was sorted straight away through Adam and his caretaker Andy who also sorted out a minor leak on the sink for us so a great many thanks to both. Just a superb cottage with every amenity one could ask.

The location of the property is excellent, we were very lucky to have w hole week of Welsh sunshine which helps a lot.. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment which really helped us and makes a change from very limited equipment with the expectation you will be eating out. Lake Padarn is stunning and a great place to sit with early morning tea and a book and just enjoy the view It would be beneficial to know that the street parking is for 3 cars in a street of 30 houses so highly unlikely to get any parking. We did have trouble with the front door and the lock which was a challenge to open and leave the house. The house itself could have done with a good clean especially due to C19 and emails from Skye cottages advising of additional measure in place this seem to skip Snowdon view.

The accommodation was just what we needed.. It was well furnished and clean. The little touches were good. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Not quite up to Sykes usual standards.. Single downstairs room kitchen/lounge is smaller than expected. With four it was Ok but six would be a squeeze. Property is clean, well decorated and equipped apart from little things like not enough glasses, v small bins for recycling. Patio is a bit of a mess and not particularly pleasant to sit out in with the back gate not secure. Being right in the centre of Llanberis it’s great for access to Snowdonia, but very noisy late into the night and parking is a nightmare.

A well-equipped clean cottage in a beautiful setting.. A great place to stay - lots of places of interest nearby. In blustery February, the cottage was warm and welcoming - including a doggy welcome pack. We found the beds to be very comfortable. Whilst there is no parking outside the cottage, we easily found parking nearby. Would recommend.

The cottage was small but cosy and well situated for walking. We left behind a box of bike repair tools which had been accumulated over a number of years and thought that having them returned to us would be a simple process of contacting the owner and paying for delivery. Six months later after numerous phone calls, texts and emails to both the owner and to Sykes, we have still not had the items returned to us.

The rubbish hadn't been removed from the previous guests and rats or birds had got in the bags as the wheelie bin was full.. The compost bin was also stinking so our first 10 mins in the place were spent with marigolds on having a tidy up. The owner sent someone to remove the loose bags but the wheelie bin and compost stayed as they were until we left. We moved the bin back into the alley where according to the instructions it said it should stay. But otherwise, a nice cottage which was clean and comfortable.

Lovely and comfortable home for our stay.. Great location and really easy check in and out with the lock box. Communication with the owner was really easy. A lovely extra to feel more comfortable would be to include enough toilet role for the weeks stay and bin bags.

Lovely little cottage in a perfect location - close to shops, pubs and restaurants.. Very clean and the facilities in the cottage were excellent. The only 'issue' we had was with parking. On a summer weekend with beautiful weather we never found any free street parking close by(other than that in the High Street which was limited time during the day). We found ourselves having to pay for parking in town car parks (not cheap), though we did eventually find somewhere we were able to park for free about 10 minutes walk away.

Kitchen-we had to wash all cutlery and crockery before we could use it; this had obviously not been checked before our visit.. Even worse, there was snail trail (yes-you read that right!) on the chopping board and pedal bin. Downstairs windows and exterior doors were filthy. Garden/Yard - we were fortunate to have lovely weather, but could not sit out along with all the rubbish left by previous occupants, broken chairs, weeds, rusty buckets and flies. This really needs attention. Bathroom and bedrooms were fine (apart from drawer fronts coming off). I can provide pictures, if needed. Thanks

Stayed for a week while some of our party completed the Man vs Mountain event. Six adults and two Labradors. Had slight concerns that the cottage would be too small but it was absolutely comfortable with all of us, all of our gear, and the dogs (even with the tail end of a hurricane's worth of rain and wet weather gear.) Lazy-Boy couches were a welcome bonus for the tired runners! Perfect location for exploring all of north Wales and Anglesey. We loved it and would wholeheartedly recommend.

I stayed in the "Snowdon View" cottage with my girlfriend, our three-months old son and two friends and we all loved it! The house looked quite small from the outside, but we had more than enough space for the five of us. All the rooms were clean and cosy and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. The welcome package we found on the kitchen table was a really nice touch! For those of you traveling by car, we never had an issue finding a parking spot in one of the small streets surrounding the house.
