We had a wonderful time at Slioch - the house was beautifully and thoughtfully prepared, despite the Covid restrictions and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable, safe stay.. We cooked largely at the property and we had all the implements necessary and everything was spotlessly clean. The cottage was cosy and warm and welcoming with a fabulous view from the little sunroom where we sat overlooking the sea every evening. We sat outside at the picnic table each morning for breakfast -it was idyllic. Our host was very kind and helpful whenever we got in touch. We are very much looking forward to future visits.

The house is better than described; it now has a large porch allowing uninterrupted views of the coast in all weathers.. The garden has loads of visiting birds who tapped the window for more food! The beach is just 15 minutes walk, through a sheep field, the dinosaur beach a short drive. Perfect place to relax. No WiFi caused panic as I hadn’t noticed but in the end our kids 21-24 relaxed into the beauty of the place.

Fantastic New Year with the family. The location was perfect, the views of the bay was fantastic. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, not the most modern cottage but very homely and comfortable which suited us perfectly. I will certainly return and recommend to friends.

What an amazing week we had at Slioch.. The cottage was just what we were looking for and more. The location is stunning. Days spent hill walking and taking the dog to the beach with evenings in front of the fire playing board games, absolute heaven. Will definitely go back.

Haven't been in Skye a few times and though we love it, we have found the perfect area to stay which is Staffin our accommodation was amazing and the communication between us and Skyecottages.. Co.uk from the day of booking to finale instruction prior to our day arrival was excellent.....

Lovely cottage except for a couple of points.. Looking at the picture on the website it gives a false impression of how close you are to the beach,in a way you are, but to get to it it's a small hike to the path. The cottage itself has everything you need including lots of dust and cobwebs I know it's only a holiday rental but it needs a deep cleaning. Both myself and hubby were both poorly with colds by the Wednesday so we left for home then, on saying that we would most definitely stay there again.

We really liked the view over the sea from the back garden we even saw a minky whale feeding from the cottage amazing! ! the garden did need a bit of a mow but it was nice that we could have our dog with us and he liked having a garden . there is a sqeaky stair half way which sounded a bit loud at night if or in our case when you need the loo at night as the bathroom is down stairs . if the weather is bad there is plenty of dvds and games but for us the weather was so hot we spent most of the time outside.

Lovely cottage in perfect location.. Lots of nice touches such as wine and shortbread left for our arrival. No Wi-Fi or phone reception but it allowed us to have a very relaxing break so no complaints there! We would definitely book this cottage again.

I loved this cottage and was very sad to leave. My partner and I had an amazing holiday in Skye and this cottage was the perfect base. The photos don't do it justice and the view out over staffin bay and island is beautiful. The owners were really friendly and helpful when we spoke to them on the phone and there was plenty of info and maps in the cottage to guide you round the island. I'd highly recommend this property and would love to stay there again.

What an amazing cottage, when we arrived we just sat outside admiring the brilliant view of the bay and the mountains in the background. The cottage is lovely with all the amenities you would expect plus very comfortable and light with stunning views from every room. There are local shops close by so everything is catered for.We had lovely walks in the mountains and we met a few of the locals who were very helpful and chatty, one holiday we really were pleased we went on 10/10

The cottage has a stunning view of the bay and we saw many sea birds, but also dolphins and and minke whale. Glasphein is so peaceful and tranquil and the people were all friendly. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, made even more so by the constantly changing light and weather. We lit a real fire every night making the cottage homely, drinking a glass of wine and watching a DVD. Our Labrador loved the beach and other hill walks. We loved it all so much we would buy the cottage if it was for sale!

The location of the cottage is first class. It is within a 15 minute walk of the local shop, and the views over the bay and out to sea are lovely. We liked the peace and tranquillity of the Island.

We had never visited the Isle of Skye, so were more than pleased when I booked a holiday week. We broke the 430 mile journey from Yorkshire by way of a b and b 15 miles or so west of Glasgow, thus enabling us to travel though the Highlands in day light hours. The Cottage is enchanting, very 'tardis' like, clean tidy and nicely decorated with a nice modern kitchen, lounge, and bathroom on the ground floor and three bedrooms upstairs. On our arrival the weather was still lovely and sunny so we were able to sit outside, in the garden, which overlooked the sea and stoney beach. The sound of the water lapping onto the beach, from our view up on the hill side, as we sipped our respective glasses of wine, was fantastic. Peace and tranquillity ruled. No need to light the coal and log burning fire in the lounge, a small electric fire was adequate when needed at night. The foot thick stone walls kept out any noise from the outside world. Lots of off road walks available near-by, and a local shop, only 5 mins drive can provide most requirements. The local Community Hall, 10 mins by car, provides a good selection of snacks and drinks, which was ideal as we returned from some of our walks. (Our biggest regret was the fact we didn't own this lovely cottage). A lovely scenic Island, and a beautiful old Cottage. What a fantastic week we had. Bev, Fraser, and Harvey our Lab. He loved it as well.

Lovely little cottage! Very clean and tastefully furnished. Stunning view of the bay from all rooms. Very close to the beach and sights, so there is a lot you can do during the day without driving too far. We enjoyed the fireplace in the cosy living room every evening and had a wonderful week. The owner is quite nice and helpful and could be contacted by phone every time.
