Firstly, this is a great location with just a short drive to both the south and north coasts of Cornwall. The cottage sits perfectly on the Camel trail if you enjoy cycling. The cottage is located in a very quite rural setting with ample parking. Shortly after arrival, the owner contacted us to ensure everything was ok, which was a first for me and very reassuring. The cottage was cleaned to a high standard which is very reassuring under the current concerns surrounding the Covid pandemic. At no point did we feel at risk or that safety had been compromised. The bed linen and the bed itself were very clean and comfortable. In fact the whole cottage was clean and well presented. There was ample utensils, plates and glasses to satisfy our requirements for a thoroughly enjoyable, self contained, peaceful holiday. We rebooked for 2021 as soon as we returned.

Peaceful quiet location just what we wanted.. Central location for some beautiful spots both North ans South Coast. So our days filled with exploring and our evenings relaxing. All the comforts of home literally. Instantly felt relaxed from day one. Great holiday and the Cottage made that possible. Will deffinately stay again soon.

The stone faced cottage is within a cute courtyard of a few similar types and has all you might need for self-catering and is well positioned for day trips to Padstow, Looe, Fowey, Port Issac where they film Doc Martin and many other beautiful surrounding areas.. The country lanes in May were lined with bluebells and other wild flowers. We were made to feel welcome by the owners by telephone before arrival and had a very comfortable bed/bedroom with romantic juliet balcony and overall we had an enjoyable stay finding it to be quiet, warm, clean and relaxing. Views over part of a well maintained quiet farm to the rear and stone building and trees to the front left hand side of the property were pretty aspects to wake up to. We heard birdsong in the morning and even an owl during the night with our balcony french doors ajar to appreciate the fresh country air. We enjoyed a delicious Thai meal at the Tiny Thai in Wadebridge. Thank you to the owners and to the cleaner for accommodating our short notice request - Mark & Barbara from Wales

The setting of the cottage is beautiful and quiet.. A great escape from the busyiness and chaotic world we tend to live in. The owners were extremly helpful and supportive. We felt cared for when one of us was poorly. That "family" embraced feeling. We visited many places and re-kindled old memories and made alot of new ones. We will be returning and would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful cottage. Thank you for a lovely time away.

The cottage was in a brilliant location for exploring Cornwall.. It's usually difficult to get a cottage for family of 3 with 2 dogs but this cottage met our needs perfectly. The cottage was cosy and very well equip for are needs. We had a lovely stay thank you

I completely loved the holiday cottage, would live there if I could.. Very peaceful location but only short drive to everything needed. Only complaint was the WiFi was extremely slow to the point my Netflix wouldn’t work, but that was a minor point. The cottage had everything I needed and was immaculate, overall I loved the holiday and hope to return soon.

Delightful little cottage in a wonderful location, just outside Bodmin means the whole of Cornwall is at your disposal.. All the destinations are within easy reach, although tucked away it's only 4 miles to get onto the main highways to go on your adventures. The cottage is ideal for couples, or maybe with a single child, it has everything you need, although be warned elder visitors the double bed is low. For cyclists there is the Camel Trail at the bottom of the hill 1/2 mile away, you can ride all the way into Padstow 18 miles (downhill all the way) depending on your riding level it maybe wise to take the bikes to the trail rather than trying to ride back up the hill to the cottage it is steep. We had a slight issue but Sykes & the owners bent over backwards to get it resolved almost immediately. It's set on a farm which I don't think is working as it is so quiet, there were no tractors buzzing around. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there & will definitely consider going back.

Sykes cottages were extremely helpful in helping us find a cottage that was suitable for us and was available for the specific dates we required.. The cottage itself was extremely charming, comfortable, very well equipped and was very central for the areas of Cornwall that we love. We would definitely recommend Sykes cottages again and this particular cottage. Thank you.

Good range of accommodation to choose from on website.. Accurately described and illustrated. Easy to book. Good communication from Sykes and cottage owners. The cottage was just what we were looking for and it was great that we could bring our two dogs. The cottage was lovely, comfortable and warm (November visit) and had everything we needed. Will most likely go again.
