Mainly accessibility and cleanliness kitchen.. The listing states that you can get to the cottage to load/unload and you can not, you're about 50ft away if you negotiate a very tight steep lane. Leaving you to carry all your things along a steep footpath to the house itself where there is then a big step up to then negotiate. With a bad back and a bad knee we would never have chosen this accommodation had it not been falsely advertised. We were aware about the roadside parking away from property which was fine but loading/unloading is not.
The rest is attention to detail:
The kitchen has damp smelling cupboards which need a good clean inside and out.
There is only one glass tumbler when the cottage sleeps four, however there's two wine carafes and plenty of wine glasses so I assume if you have kids they can share the tumbler and you can lap up the vino!
The TV is under the bookshelf in the living room facing along the wall not diagonally into the room, so not easy to watch by everyone. We ended up getting a kitchen chair and sitting the TV.
Bedroom is massive but nothing to put clothes on overnight apart from the floor, a couple of chairs or an ottoman would help.
Little twin room smells funky, and the bed under the window has no support.
Facility wise good and Bolehill excellent location for local walks and attractions of Derwent Valley. We would return to the area but not to this cottage.
