The only concern I had with the hole experience was the parking for the property, however it was highlighted in the description of the property, but had we used a bigger car I've no idea what we would of done..

This was a Christmas break for us and we asked if decorations were available, A tree and decorations were not only provided but were in place on arrival.. The apartment was fantastic, beautifully furnished and very clean. Facilities in the apartment were excellent and someone had taken time to think about what guests would need. This is the first time we have used Sykes Cottages and it certainly won’t be the last. Many thanks

Keswick is a great place to stay .. The apartment was in the counter of town and yet was so quiet The surrounding hikes kept us very busy and was the perfect activity to keep teenagers engaged The apartment was homely , comfortable and so well equipped .

Brilliant location. Everything you could possibly need provided. The apartment was clean, light and airy. The alleyway to the car park space was daunting at first sight but we have a small car (VW Polo) and had no trouble getting in and out. Occasionally we were blocked in by people parking on double yellow lines opposite the alleyway to pop to the Premier shop or collect a takeaway from the Indian restaurant opposite - it just meant we had to be a bit patient and wait. Would definitely book again.

The shower was a bit intermittent until you got the hang of it.. The driveway was indeed a challenge. We scraped the side of our car which now will need repaired can understand if this puts people off. Accommodation in a great place though. Towels and bedding beautifully clean. we enjoyed our stay very much other than damage to car.

It was a beautiful home with excellent facilities except one issue with the shower - the shower door did not fit and the shower pressure was poor.. However, it exceeded our expectations with its kitchen, cleanliness, airiness, warmth and beautiful decor. Highly recommend with great staff! XXX OWNER RESPONSE XXX The owner is glad to hear that you felt their home was beautiful and would like to make you aware that they have now replaced the entire bathroom including a new shower with rain head and hope to see you in the future..

When we arrived the apartment wasn't quite ready so we were told we could park up in the allocated space & come back for the key. Honestly it did make me and my husband squirm a little bit as the outside of the property is not much to look at, its in a bit of a back alley which is a bit tatty looking. However on reflection the location was brilliant as we were so close to town but tucked away enough to feel secluded, also the car parking space was ace as our family members who were staying at another property had to find parking on the street which in Keswick on a Saturday is pretty much impossible. The apartment itself is lovely, modern wood flooring and neutral colours, plenty of space for 2, I'm not sure how 4 would fair though. Sadly when we arrived there were some cleaning issues. Some things were immaculate but it was like some bits had been completely forgotten, the floor looked like it had not been hoovered and as an obsessively clean freak I had to hoover it myself so I felt comfortable. Also some mugs and cups in the cupboard went straight into the dishwasher before we could use them. Another problem we had was the bed - the apartment gets very hot and the bed had one of those plastic base sheets and sleeping on it was so uncomfortably hot and sticky, the fitted sheet that we were actually laying on kept popping off in the night so some mornings we'd wake up laying directly on the plastic sheet, sweaty and sticky. The duvet also was far too thick for an apartment that got so hot. Some good points were that the apartment has a massive window in the living area which you can fully open and look at the beautiful scenery. The open plan kitchen and living area is great and I loved the breakfast bar. With just a few tweaks and a bit more attention to detail this apartment would be 5 star. We'd still return as you can't fault the location and generally it is a lovely place to stay.

Once we had got over the trauma of trying to access the property via a very narrow alley, we discovered a lovely, modern and well equipped apartment, perfectly located in Keswick centre. Everything was clean, bright and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, so there was no need to bring anything. There are two supermarkets a short walk away and a convenience shop just across the road. Only one word of warning, if you have a large car, access to the property is tight.

Stayed at Sky View and loved it. The central location was fantastic. I love to walk and walk I did. Hope Park, the Lake and Theater by the Lake were very short walks which enticed me to follow the path near the boat landing to Friars Crag (great views to Catbells, Maiden's Moor, etc.). Lovely walks around Derwent Water. The Keswick markets are just a moment away and restaurants and pubs everywhere. A late night market was open each night across the road which I found extremely convenient. From the lounge, the views across the roof tops out to Grisedale Pike and Whinlatter Forest are beautiful (even a very distant view of Bassenthwaite Lake). The apartment was very comfortable - felt at home. Everything is new. I noticed it was extremely quiet although right in the center of Keswick. The kitchen had everything I needed and the bedrooms were very cozy. Great place - will visit again....
