Phil and Anita perfect hosts.. Cottage is central for
the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara, 5 miles from Killarney and the location is perfect for walkers and climbers only ten minutes from the Gap of Dunloe and Ireland’s highest mountain .
Nice quiet location.. In a great spot for exploring the nearby mountains and national park
The cottage was in a beautiful location overlooking the Kerry mountains.. It was clean and the welcome pack was a nice surprise. On the downside the house was not ideal for us as we are a tall family. The light fittings downstairs were low and we had to duck on several occasions to avoid hitting them. As upstairs is dorma with very low ceilings this too was an issue for us. The owners were very nice and helpful. It was good value for money. However, we would not stay there again.
We had a truly lovely week at Silver Birch House.. The cottage was warm, clean and had everything we needed. It was a great base for exploring the Killarney area which was looking so beautiful with all the golden autumn trees. Thank you to the hosts - the welcome pack was enjoyed and the brochures read as we planned our day trips. We would definitely stay again.
If you are looking for a place to stay which is quiet but not too far off the main holiday routes for the area, then look no further.. The SatNav co-ordinates lead you right to the holiday home, where you will be welcomed by the owners and a free starters pack of food.
This cottage is very well situated for active and outdoor people like hikers and mountainbikers.. Nice scenery at your doorstep.
Silver Birch Cottage was in a lovely location outside Killarney.. The owners were very friendly and lived on site. The cottage was a little hard to locate even though we had SatNav. We did not realise it was behind the main house.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage.. It had beautiful views of the mountains and country side. It also was very close to the scenic Gap of Dunloe and about 15 minute drive to downtown Killarney. Everything was very clean and it had all our essentials while being very reasonably priced. While the cottage had WiFi it wasn’t quite enough for my husband to work from the cottage all 4 days of our stay, by the last day he had to go to a cafe with WiFi to work which wasn’t too big of a deal for us.
Silver Birch House was a great base for us travelling around The Ring of Kerry and Killarney.. The house is in the middle of the country and has beautiful views from the garden. The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. A great spot!
