The house was super, super clean, well equipped, very spacious and comfortable, the jacuzzi just exactly right after a long walk along the beach, the location ideal for many excursions and walks, and Mary is a treasure box of local knowledge.. Thanks and congratulations to the owners and the keeper.

Absolutely fell in love with Co Mayo and The Wild Atlantic Way! Shraigh Beach is a really comfortable home away from home and the location meant that we were in the perfect place to explore the area fully - the superb beaches, Ballycroy National Park and the wild seas.

It was an idyllic location and one of the most relaxing holidays we have had .. Even on a wet and windy day we were warm and cosy inside the cottage looking out to the rough stormy sea . If we are over that way again we would definitely stay there again .

This house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday .. .. The equipment is great, in the kitchen everything available, the living area generous with fireplace and a bar, the beds are very comfortable, a restful sleep guaranteed... From the house you have a fantastic view to the sea, to Achill Island... you can see beautiful rainbows over Bellmulet (we had luck and saw them many times)... you can walk to the beaches in a couple of minutes and you can enjoy romantic sunsets... At night, in clear weather, you can see the most beautiful starry sky with the Milky Way, which you can imagine. Thank you Mary for looking after us, you made us feeling like home in that beautiful house.... we will definitely be back

The cottage was absolutely brilliant, but in this day and age Wi Fi should be made available, even if you had to pay for it on a daily basis, those who need it I am sure would be happy to pay, and a safe would also add a level of security as the cottage is quite remote for items like passports or holiday spending money.. Regards Terry Siemers.

It’s a lovely house.. We (a little family) enjoyed our stay there so much!! The House is huge, you‘ll find everything what you need- a big kitchen, fireplace, comfi beds and it’s closed to the Ocean! We also loved the silence to just relaxe and calm down. Thanks a lot! We will definitely coming back!

Lovely big modern bungalow.. In a great position about a 10 min walk from a lovely deserted beach. Everything you need for a relaxing and quiet holiday.( No Wi-Fi and very poor phone signal.).

The cottage was lovely.. The area was fantastic. Our only issue was with you guys at Sykes. We didn’t get the dates we originally asked for due to a mixup at your end.

The stay in this cottage was an overall pleasant experience. Super-friendly Lady came in to hand over the keys and show us around in the house. There were two bedrooms with double-beds, bathrooms, shower and a closet each. Also does the house feature a third bathroom with a bath-tub. A very spacious sitting-room with a fireplace features lazy-boy chairs and couches, a dining table, big tv and a bar. The kitchen is quite generous - spacewise as well as equipmentwise. There's a room for laundry also. The cottage is in walking distance from the beach and most windows in the living-room have sea-view. Around the house is a little walled compound. A stone table and bench make a good place for having breakfast outside (if the wind allows). Through your window you can watch rabbits and hares hopping aournd in the dunes and on the meadows outside. Central heating works very well and is heating up quick. The owner asks for 10€ a day for energy - while the first two days were free. In our case this was not mentioned in the printout or on the website we booked the house at. But as we learned is it custom in Ireland to have those costs excluded. All together this is one of the best beach-houses I've been to in Europe. Very recomendable!

The property and interior was of a high standard and I was delighted with it and also the setting. It was close to the beach and there were sea views from most windows. It was a home away from home but with a lot more peace and serenity!
