The large windows in the living room mean that you can savour the scenery while you sip your morning tea – and you’ll be eager to spend the rest of the day outside in the fresh air. With a terrace overlooking Souda Bay, you have a front-row view of the water – when the sun comes out, keep cool with regular dips in the infinity pool. Dry off while you read a book and gaze out to sea, and we’re willing to bet that nothing is more peaceful than an afternoon nap on a sun lounger. Meals under the pergola and sunset cocktails are just the icing on the cake.

Kalami Beach, with its sandy shoreline, is a pretty spot less than ten minutes away by car where you can paddle and catch some rays. Megala Chorafia is just a ten-minute walk away, where you can stock up on supplies at the mini-market or dine at one of the three tavernas. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can drive to the ancient port city of Chania in just twenty minutes to explore the Venetian Harbour and winding streets.
