Good to see after 10 years of consecutive visits some of the furniture has been updated and flooring and some soft decorations have been replaced.. Still needs investment in the bathroom (which is tired) and all window frames require overhaul/ repairs. Gardens are kept immaculate however general cleanliness of accomodation was not great. This is a recurring problem year after year. Kitchen utensils are adequate albeit I'd recommend you bring your own frying pan as the one provided is cheap (like a child's toy kitchen type). No bin in the kitchen and a broken clothes airer also add to this list of inadequacies The unique and special location of the accomodation and the ability to book several holiday homes on one site are the reasons we have put up with the issues described above so hopefully next year we will see further improvements that will ensure my family's comtinued custom

Having seen other feedback was concerned about cleanliness but on arrival found the standard was good .. One annoying problem was the toilet seat hinge assembly is worn and appears insecure a replacement would be good . Overall a good place to stay .

I was a quite concerned after I read some of the reviews on line about the cleanliness of the cottage but when we arrived the cottage was very clean and in very good condition, it is in an amazing location and we had a great holiday , would definitely stay here again..

The cottage was in a great location, problem was the cleaning that had been done or the lack of before we arrived, cob webs that looked liked they had been there for weeks if not months in the bathroom, all windows sills where dirty and had varous ammounts of cobwebs, flaking ceiling paint in the bathroom, floors that had not seem a brush never mind a vac for weeks, cracked dusty and dirty skirting boards, sand in the drawers but worst of all the over powering smell of damp and mould in the bedrooms, in the middle bedroom a large black mould patch in the corner on the ceiling, beds felt damp and uncomfortable.. I have no problem with Sykes, just the cottage was a let down when you have to spend most of your first day cleaning, after a long drive.

We enjoyed this holiday immensely as the location was excellent and the activities for my 3 sons were very nearby.. We didn't realise the railway track was so close to the bungalow and run quite frequently especially throughout the week but this did not affect our holiday in the slightest but may affect familys with younger children who could be woken up by this.i would highly recommend this to other people and we will definitely be coming back next year! ps.the weather was gorgeous which makes all the difference :) .

The property we stayed at is in a fantastic location and has great parking for two cars.. Booking was easy and clear. We were really close to the beach and the kids loved being able to walk there. However, the lack of cleanliness was a massive let down. We had an ant problem on the first two days. I contacted the phone number provided and they told me to just use the spray under the sink (indicating they knew it was a problem). We had a 3 year old and an 18 month old with us, so using spray was not an acceptable solution. Instead we ended up buying our own traps. I am not surprised we had ants because the floors were quite frankly disgusting. I had to ask them for a hoover because it clearly hadn’t been done and we bought floor cleaner to clean all the floors. Within 10 minutes of arriving our feet were black and covered in bits. In addition, the bathroom was horrendous and we cleaned it all ourselves. We do not have overly high standards, but it felt like it hasn’t even been cleaned from the last visitors, which is gross and unacceptable. On our first day we had no supplies such as dishwasher tablets, wash sponges etc so we ended up buying them as we thought they were supplied. Low and behold day 2 they arrived, a little late. The beds were so lumpy and uncomfortable and everything about this place is cheap. The windows and doors are simply disgusting and covered in cobwebs - you feel dirty opening them. the front door doesn’t open easily so if ever there was a fire it would be a hazard. All in all we enjoyed the holiday but we would never stay in this property again and I would recommend you don’t either unless you like coming on holiday to clean and fight off ants!

The property was good and clean.. No heating in the bathroom. It was too cold, water logging at the shower. In sufficient tissue papers. One roll of kitchen tissue would have made your kitchen perfect.
