Fantastic house and area.. The owner and her friends went out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday

The house was very comfortable and large.. The ocean is visible from almost every room.
This cottage is the best I have used in Ireland, the care and thought given by Martha the owner and Mairead who welcomed us and gave us a tour was nothing less than superb.. We have never felt so welcome before.
Second time at this terrific house, all anyone could ask for ! ! warm, welcoming, fantastic views, for us just a perfect stay !
Beautiful views locals all welcoming in local village
Not sure I was keen on the 'no deposit required' gimmick.. You still have to pay a large 'deposit' if you subsequently cancel. Felt like a bit of a con.
Far too many advertising emails from Sykes.
Cottage itself, and value for money, absolutely excellent.
A word of advice for UK travellers from Holyhead: Don't get suckered into booking the 'Swift' service from Irish Ferries. It hardly ever runs and is cancelled on the premise of 'bad weather'. For the week we were away, of 32 possible Swift sailings, only 4 actually sailed. You pay extra for Swift and that isn't refundable if cancelled due to the weather, so you just end up paying more for the standard ferries you end up having to re-book on. Needless to say, I have seldom seen the Irish sea so calm on either of our sailing days, so cancelling Swift on the basis of bad weather was laughable. Either that, or the Swift ferry is simply hopelessly unsuited to operation on the Irish Sea. Just book the standard services and save yourself some money and a load of hassle trying to re-book at the last minute. For the week we were away, of 32 possible Swift sailings, only 4 actually sailed.
This was an amazing treat, the house is nothing short of breathtaking and the views are outstanding, nature at its finest, we were looked after by the owner on the phone and neighbours Karen and Caroline popped in without being intrusive.
The house was welcoming and warm when we arrived after a very long overnight journey.
We play and sing a little so the acoustics with galleried entrance we perfect !!
An amazing setting for the best holiday rental so far on The Wild Atlantic Way .. That's the setting (Grand stand views) and the stunning and very welcoming house.
Both the owner and the caretaker were helpful and friendly.. The cottage is warm and comfortable, well equipped and with stunning views. Ifhly recommended.
The home and setting were magnificent! Martha and Karen were extremely helpful and made our stay lovely.
Seahaven is a lovely property, the photographs dont do it justice, in particular the size of the master bedroom and quality of furnishing.. Wonderful location with tremendous sea views and some really pretty villages and towns in the area. The house was exceedingly well stocks from some kitchen essentials to cleaning products and even fuel for the fires. Lots of space for a group of adults to stay comfortably.
Sea Haven was amazing! What a comfortable home in a fabulous, beautiful location. The owner was so helpful and responsive. The house is bigger and much nicer than anticipated. Our family of 5 had more than enough room. We'd love to come back when we return to Ireland!
This house is amazing! You can tell it is newer construction and has in-floor heating on the ground floor. In addition to three bedrooms, it has two separate sitting areas. Each sitting area has a fire place. The Wi-Fi was great. The TV received a few over the air channels, but also had many satellite channels available too. There were four of us that stayed for a week. House has three full baths plus a half bath so that was very convenient.
House was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped.
The ocean view is very impressive. There is outdoor seating in front of the house where you can sit and view the ocean. You can hear the waves crashing! A few times we actually walked down to the ocean (about a 15 minute walk). To enter through the main front door, it is required to step up a few steps. However, if this is an issue, the house has a side entrance that can be used that does not have any steps.
Briliant location fabulous cottage everything was spot on the only slight niggle .... Briliant location fabulous cottage everything was spot on the only slight niggle was tap water verry slow otherwise top marks all round
The house is beautiful and has everything you would ever need. The views are absolutely stunning and everyone is very friendly. It is a wonderful place to completely relax and chill I feel so refreshed. Everything about this holiday has been absolutely amazing and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
All of County Cork was so beautiful, and the house completely exceeded our expectations in every way. The pictures and description provided are way too modest as the home was so perfectly provisioned with everything we needed and so beautifully decorated, including the lovely landscaping. The location was also exceptional, being so close to the sea with stunning views. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
The house and location was excellent and the views were stunning. The neighbour was so helpful and friendly. All in all the best holiday rent we have had. We have rented quite a few and this was of the highest standard properties that we have stayed at and did not want to come home.
Writing this on Xmas morn!!!!
Should have written earlier as we stayed at this house for a fortnight in sep 15. We have vacationed in houses up and down the west coast of ireland for 20 years and this really was the best ever. The house was amazingly tidy and well equipped, more than we needed actually. The views were fabulous out over the atlantic, but what set it apart from the rest was the care and attention from the houseowner (whom we never met) and the housekeeper. They really were terrific.
We managed to explore all the parts of the Beara peninsula we wanted to, and for walkers you have the amazing if tiresome option of walking up the road and onto a lane that takes you through the mountains to Allihies!
Coming from Northern Ireland, it is unlikely we will be this far south again, but if you are considering a rental in West Cork, I assure you, Sea haven will not disappoint.
The house is superb, with a fabulous location within easy walking distance of the beach. There are uninterrupted sea views from the front windows, garden and terrace.
Whole cottage was spotlessly clean and views were stunning especially from the master bedroom. Beautiful and peaceful area to stay and everyone in Ireland were very welcoming. Great sized cottage, we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and would love to stay again in the future.
This property was set in an extremely idyllic location with views of the sea and surrounding countryside. I enjoyed my stay immensely due to all the good qualities of the property, the views that were on offer as well as the general quietness of the place.
The location was beautiful and the house was perfect for a relaxing break. Having all bedrooms en-suite was very convenient and the layout of the property was perfect even with a small baby.
Owner and key holder were extremely helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Very peaceful and picturesque part of Ireland. Sea Haven is a beautiful house and the children loved exploring in the garden. The view from the house looking out on the coastline was beautiful.
Astonishing sea-view, great surroundings and fishing possibilities, the interior of the house was very complete and the owner was very kind and helpful.
Everything was perfect. The house was so nice and a peaceful location. We could drive to many locations and it was ideal for exploring Beara Peninsula.
