Sea Breeze Cottage Coastal Cottage Self-Catering

Holiday home
This terraced stone cottage is part of a modern development that was built on an old farm site. It has views to the east coast with Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne in the distance. The seashore is just a five minute walk away as is the village of Spittal with restaurants, public house and shops. The property is over two floors and provides comfortable, well furnished accommodation. The sitting room is tastefully decorated and has an electric fire. The spacious, well fitted kitchen has a dining area and there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. Outside there is a lawned area to the front and side of the property with a barbecue area and seating. The cottage is an ideal base to see both the Scottish borders and Northumberland.

Area
Berwick-upon-Tweed is the most northerly town in England, in the past it has changed hands between Scotland and England no less than 14 times. Today this coastal town offers an interesting place to explore with its narrow streets within the Elizabethan walls. There are walks along the walls where the views over the coast and river estuary are spectacular. Berwick has a diversity of shops, supermarkets, public houses and restaurants. The Maltings Art Centre has a comprehensive calendar of cultural events including theatre, cinema and live music. Berwick has very good public transport links and there are frequent trains to Edinburgh and Newcastle. For outdoor activities, fishing, horse riding and golf are all available nearby. Spittal, a coastal resort, is two miles away and boasts lovely sandy beaches.

Region
Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The location of SeaBreezes was absolutely perfect, in being out in the country, yet close enough to both Spittal and Berwick-Upon-Tweed.. The cottage itself was very comfortable we would certainly look favourably on returning if we ever decided to re-visit the same area.

This was a beatiful cottage, in a really peaceful area.. The kitchen in the cottage had just been refurbished, all new equipement and appliances to a very high standard, large a spaciouse with a large table and six chairs. all the rest of the house was in the same condition. out side area was lovely and peaceful, sat outside with our G & T hearing the Skylarks sing in the evening. In the lounge they had a large tv with loads of channels and loads and loads of dvds. We could have lived there.

We had a 2 week break with some changes to the occupancy from week 1 to week 2.. The owners couldn't have been more helpful in providing changes of bedding and little touches such as getting out the trundle bed which our 3 year old granddaughter loved rather than the higher bed which she could have fallen out of. Large buckets and spades were left out for the older grandchildren who came the first week and a smaller set for the 3 year old the 2nd week. We loved sitting out in the garden, the freedom to do the washing and hang it out to dry, bake quiches and cakes with grandchildren. The views are spectacular and we loved the beaches. All the facilities were there. We were made to feel very welcome in a delightful home from home and heartily recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday in Northumberland.

The Cottage was well presented and in nice surroundings but the track to the cottage had deep ruts which caused the car to rub on the raised central area.. It could do with the ruts filling or the centre lowering as I feel it will put people of revisiting what is a well presented property in a lovely location.

This is a superb cottage with extremely high quality of decor and furnishings and wonderfully clean. The cottage is situated in a quiet group of cottages at the end of a track and is not overlooked by any of the neighbours. From every window there is a marvellous view either of the sea, Lindisfarne or the countryside.

June 2014
An immaculate Cottage in a great location for lots of attractions. The property is very spacious for a family; the downstairs shower room was a bonus and a kitchen big enough to sit in properly. Bedrooms were large and very comfortable. We loved being able to walk from the property to the coast path and beach. It was spotlessly clean and we liked the fact it is dog free as many coastal properties aren't.

Sea Breeze is very comfortable and well maintained. It offers a good base for exploring and enjoying the local and wider surrounding areas.
