We had a fantastic family holiday in Scylla View.. The views from the apartment were stunning and we loved being able to potter down to the beach for a swim, walk or game of frisbee. Thank you to Nina and Jim for a warm welcome and making our holiday so special.

We thought the slightly remote position should be more emphasized regarding having enough provisions on arrival.. If you havn't got something the nearest coop in Millbrook is about an hour and a half return trip from the property. Shame the beech cafe wasn't open during the week as we were expecting it to be but i understand it was probably to quiet in the week to justify this. Maybe just for a few hours around lunch time would of come in handy when we stayed with the property. The owners were great and all in all our stay was fantastic.

The most relaxing holiday ever! Location was absolutely fabulous - with amazing walks along the beach, surfing, paddleboarding and playing in the waves. The perfect location to de-stress and sit back and watch the ever changing scenery. Hearing the waves crash against the rocks as you were drifting off to sleep was so therapeutic. Can’t fault the holiday or the cottage or the hosts. It was absolutely perfect!

After arriving and being assisted down the cliff to this delightful cottage, I was completely in awe of this wonderful location. Looking out through the lounge window all I could see was a fantastic stretch of beach that I had simply not expecting to be so beautiful. The sun glistened off the sea as we walked along hand in hand and I wondered if this was just may be....a little slice of paradise. We met Jim the owner on the first night; a wonderfully charismatic man we happily shared a beer with. At this point we had no idea this very gentleman was the very first person to row the Pacific unsupported. Down to earth and straight talking, he was a perfect host. The cliff was a challenge even for us relatively fit 40 somethings! But always worth the effort. The cottage was well equipt and very comfy. It was a wonderful week with some fantastic weather.

Beautiful location right on the beach, apartments had everything we needed.. The only drawback is the steep climb to get back up the cliff side if you want to go out. You shouldn't consider this apartment if you are unsteady on your feet. Luckily we had no issues with the 160 steps and loved every second of our week in Eddystone Cafe Apartments

This is a fabulous and unique cottage but it must be stressed that the walk up and down the cliff is quite challenging .. The owner Jim was the most lovely and interesting man who lives in part of the cottage but he respected our privacy and yet couldn't have been more helpful if we did need anything.

We stayed recently, knowing the area well living in nearby Plymouth. This place feels like worlds away from the city in a unique secluded location on Tregonhawke beach. We saw every type of weather walking on the beach and along the cliff path to nearby Rame head where you can see Plymouth sound and Looe from the same point on a clear day. Some might find the walk down from the road too much (we would advise keeping luggage to a minimum) but for us this was part of the charm, if it were easier the place might be over-run with tourists. Instead it truly feels like Cornwall's forgotten corner. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and the accommodation is perfect. We can't wait to visit again.

If you can handle the steps (144 of them) and the steep path, this is an amazing place to stay. We were lucky the weather was great, so during the week we had no need to go anywhere else to enjoy ourselves, but simply stayed in the cottage, on the patio, on the beach and in the water. At low tide there is ample time to walk a few miles along the beach and back. And the owner is a legend!

The solitude, the constant sound of the sea, proximity to the beach and friendliness of the neighbours, made the climb down the cliff worth it.
