With many original features still in place, such as a stone fireplace, oak beams and mullioned windows, the property is a wonderful example of a traditional Dales home. To the rear, the tranquil, enclosed garden provides an excellent spot for alfresco dining whilst various amenities within the village itself are close by. One well-behaved pet welcome. Nearby Grassington and Skipton offer a wider selection of shops for anything extra visitors may need. The area is the setting for numerous popular cycling trails and bridleways, making this an excellent holiday destination for walkers and those looking to explore this beautiful region.

Fantastic location just outside Burnsall and a short walk along the river to Appletreewick, with the fantastic Craven Arms pub.. The cottage was the perfect size for a family of four and we all agreed we'll definitely be booking again to explore more of this beautiful area.

Location of Sandywood is it's biggest attribute.. Loads of great venues close by and pubs which although pricey due to their captive audience are full of charm and character. Lovely host Helen who came to greet us and answer any Qs we had. Unfortunately we were plagued by wasps at the cottage so couldn't sit out, but I think this was just unlucky timing as other venues we visited were aswell. Very comfortable cottage well kitted out. We would definitely return.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location.. Very clean and well equipped. Two minor issues that would prevent us re-booking this particular cottage. Downstairs bathroom is a long way to go from upstairs in the middle of the night the double bed was a little small and uncomfortable - the room is big enough for a king size.

Enjoyed the house which was near the village and which was ideal for us.. It was near a number of sights and walks. More in fact than we expected. Ideal spot for getting out in the area.

Lovely cottage, friendly owner in good location.. Enjoyable stay. Listing could be clearer that towels are not included. Cottage facilities could be improved with a dishwasher.

Nice cottage in a great location.. We were very pleased with the entry at the rear where we could leave our hiking boots and clothes. The kitchen lacked some in our opinion essential supplies such as a set of sharp knives, a few chopping boards and a frying pan.

This cottage is a little gem, just a few mins walk to the village where there is a very nice pub at the end of the bridge which allows our doggy friends in the bar area. There are some wonderful walks in the area which are all covered by the literature in the cottage. The views are amazing and the cottage is really well equipped and beautifully clean. We had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed some lovely walks

Great location, lovely cottage. We got in late on a Friday evening so the tea and biscuits were very welcoming! We needed accommodation for a wedding in nearby villages. My son is 3 so the extra home comforts were the real real for going for a cottage. This was a great find! Cosy, but with more than enough room for a small family. As it was lambing season too we had the added magic of seeing the newborn lambs. This a great place for active breaks or a completely relaxing holiday.

It is a very pleasant cottage in a nice countryside.Quiet and peaceful, clean and comfortable. I really liked the wood burner in the lounge and there was plenty of coal and wood to use.The local pub is in walking distance (take a torch with you :) and the food is all right. We haven`t really walked around the village but hiking and walking areas are within driving distance. The best thing about the place was that I instantly felt welcomed and comfortable, the cottage has got a really positive vibe. However the least I liked about the place that within the house there are 5 carved mice hidden and we only found 4!!!We looked everywhere but just could not find the last one.We will have to go back soon to find the the fifth mouse :)

This was one of the very best cottages we have rented, and we've rented a lot. The quality of everything was first class, the welcome from the owner, including biscuits, milk and tea was very welcome. The position of this cottage is perfect, the view spectacular, and the short walk to the village great. Would go back like a shot and recommend it to everyone.

On arrival at the cottage we knew straight away we were in for a brilliant week. The cottage itself was cosy and beautifully decorated. The finishing touches made it so homely. The owner was welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect with lots of walks only a few miles away, however there was some great walks from the door. What we liked about the cottage was it was within walking distance to the village but far enough away to be peaceful. There was nothing we did not like, only that we had to leave.
