The house sleeps 14 people in seven first floor bedrooms; six doubles and a twin, plus there are seven bath or shower rooms. Downstairs the living space is generous and bright including a sitting room with wood burning stove, a dining area and a modern kitchen. There is also a bar, a snug and the elegant hall is home to a baby grand piano. Outside a level terrace and lawn is ideal for croquet and beyond there is a rough lawn area for children to play. Tennis court available by arrangement. With the coast or heights of Dartmoor within easy reach, Sandwell Manor is a brilliant house for a big group of family or friends to enjoy a holiday in South Devon.
Area The market town of Totnes is at the head of the estuary of the River Dart, in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its historic Fore Street is lined with interesting shops, tea rooms, restaurants and a weekly Elizabethan market, offering local produce and unique finds. During the festive period, the streets of Totnes come alive with its annual Christmas market. From Totnes, set off on walking routes with stunning backdrops along the Dart Valley Trail, or explore the historic Totnes Castle. The historic navel town of Dartmouth and the shops and estate at Dartington are just a short drive away.
