This used to be such a great place to stay - and now the prices have doubled!! It is crazily expensive now. ...and it's cheaper for us to go to the South of France, stay in a beautiful location, with flights included! Such a shame this has happened :(

Stunning location!! You need to walk through two fields and down 71 steps to get to the boathouse but so worth it for the peace and tranquility!!

Absolutely beautiful setting.. It’s a bit of a treck back to the car, if you want to go out, but we are always happy to just stay put at the beautiful boathouse and watch the world of the River Dart go by. Perfect !

Fantastic accommodation, beautiful setting, but should warn people you do need a 4x4 if you are not that mobile..

Fabulous location with excellent accommodation.. Clarification needs to be made regarding accessibility as holiday makers need to understand that it is not a case of being able to park near the boathouse there is a hilly walk involved and luggage needs to be brought down by the farm manager.

If you like peace, quiet and tranquility, watching the changes in the river and the wild life, jumping salmon, trout and the eating frenzy when the little fish are forced to the surface, this is the place for you.. The boathouse is well appointed, clean. Walks around the estate (working farm) including a vine yard and oyster farm (low tide) added to the experience. Charlie and Becky were excellent hosts, thank you.

Amazing place, loved every minute!

The holiday was fantastic, lovely views, starry skies.. Wonderful location. The only comments we have is that the hobb is not very user friendly, lots of grumbling and puffing to try and get it to work. Suggestion would be to have a simpler hobb that is idiot proof. Would be a nice idea to have a astrological telescope as the night skies were amazing. We have already booked again for next year.

This was our third visit to The Sandridge Boathouse and was just as perfect as before. The location is fantastic, right on the river. The weather was mixed this time and we saw less wildlife but it is very tranquil and relaxing. The property is luxurious and very much a home from home. We loved the vineyard and hope that one day there will be a Sandridge Barton Estate Selection wine available soon.

Isolated boathouse right on the river dart. Rent a boat from lee in Dittisham he will bring it to the boathouse for you and take trips to Dartmouth, Totnes and numerous riverside pubs without the hassle of road traffic. The house itself is well appointed and you will not want to leave. Stayed in the same place 29 years ago before it was renovated and it has only got better
