Spent a wonderfully peaceful week here. The property had everything you could hope for including a lovely bathroom with fabulous shower. The owner, Hen was very helpful answering pre visit queries promptly and in depth. It was great to have a washing machine with a washing line to hang out laundry or a clothes dryer if you preferred. We could find no faults with this property - it was excellent!

I would like to compliment the previous reviewer for detailing every word that I would reiterate. A week in this lovely barn conversion in beautiful countryside was bliss. The owner 'Hen' was charming and most welcoming. Living there for just a week was real Devon Hospitality. The local Pub,The Black Dog, was very much worth a visit, excellent food in unusual circumstances at this difficult time. We shall look forward to another great visit in the future. Thank You.

A sympathetically restored building, done to a high standard.. Comfortable beds, wonderful views, and a kind yet unobtrusive owner next door. Would definitely return, and happy to recommend highly!

Absolutely stunning property in a perfect setting.. Owners were very welcoming and the property was spotless and comfortable. Please note though, that milk was not provided (as per a review on Tripadvisor) but tea bags and coffee were. Thoroughly recommend and would love to return in the future.

The cottage was lovely but in very remote part of Devon quite a distance from different places and the nearest supermarket was a good 30 mins drive away..

This cottage has been the most amazing blessing! Situated in the rolling hills of Devon, with easy reach of Exmoor and Exeter, Salters is a wonderful place to stay! It is an old barn which has been renovated to the highest standard we could imagine and eco friendly too! It has a wonderful traditional / modern mix and is well thought out. Downstairs is composed of an open plan kitchen / Living / diner. The kitchen is hand painted and fitted out really well. There was nothing we could have looked for that wasn’t provided. Old beams, oak floors, good art, well placed lighting and wonderful views make the downstairs somewhere you want to sit and enjoy. Under floor heating ensures that December days are cosy! Everything is done in great taste resulting in style, comfort and a huge feel good factor. The spectacular views over meadowland are maximised by the use of glazed doors and large, low windows. Upstairs the 2 bedrooms are again stylish with comfortable beds and quality linen. The bathroom has a power drench shower and the thick, fluffy John Lewis towels make the experience that of a top hotel room. Views from the bedrooms are equally good. Oli and Hen, the owners are delightful and made us incredibly welcome. They provided milk, tea, coffee, cereal. They are at the same time both down to earth farmers and interior designers with great style! We visited Crediton with its interesting Church and plentiful shops. The Lamb in Sandford is a great pub with a hearty fire and good food. We extended our stay to 10 days because this place was so good and so relaxing. We’d highly recommend this cottage. It’s the most lovely cottage we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many! Thank you Oli and Hen!
