It was the perfect home to host our two young families in during our stay in Ballybofey.. Was so lovely to be in the country while still a close distance to town. It was such a great space to call our home for the week!

The house was amazing in size, location and landscape scenery.. The owner Mr Connolly was brilliant in showing us around the house when we arrived and telling us about the local area. Ballybofey is a lovely wee town for local shopping and food cuisine. The forest walk is worth a trip as the scenery through it is amazing. We really enjoyed our holiday here and would highly recommend Sallywood House!

Deep peace of the running wave, deep peace of the flowing air, deep peace of the quiet earth, deep peace of the shining stars, deep peace of the gentle night..

We had an amazing visit to Ireland.. Our holiday was perfected by Sallywood Cottage! It was our home away from home. Bedrooms and baths were clean and tidy. The kitchen and living room area was perfect for our mixed age crew of 9. If we had any issues Mr. Connolly replied and helped immediately. (Mostly on how to use the different appliances.) We loved the gorgeous view from the deck, and the laid back farmland and animals nearby. It really made our Ireland experience unforgettable. We will be back here!!

Beautiful spacious house, far enough away from everywhere but not too far you couldn't drive for provisions should you need to, the owner met us to help us find the house which was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again :)

This is our third year at Sallywood House and as usual we had a lovely time - location facilities all great - the owner is especially helpful and had the heat on and the Christmas tree up and holly etc around the living room for us - very thoughtful - this is a great house for a large family or group of family members - the rooms are enormous and there is plenty of room for everyone.. Very handy for the town and close to many attractions in Donegal. We are looking forward to staying again next Christmas.

We spent two weeks in this great home in the hills overlooking the twin towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar in County Donegal. It is a great getaway in a rural area outside of Killygordon. The location is great for a family vacation or just a quiet place to experience some off the wonderful Irish hospitality. The owner, Garvan, was especially helpful and we could not have asked for better accommodations. Garvan went out of his way to may sure our stay was pleasant in every way. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a self catering home in this area. We used this home as a base and traveled all over the west coast from Galway to Malin Head and Giants Causeway.

We loved the space the house offered us as a large family. The house looked small from the drive but inside was massive and with a large garden the kid's and dogs had plenty of room to run about. Very relaxing and peaceful so suited us well. With the weather being brilliant great holiday was had by all. .
