Cottage was great and views amazing, just a few things that would have helped our stay, bathroom cold heater not working, other then saucepans no other cooking ware, no microwave dishes or oven equipment..

Blown away by the stunning views among the unusually good Irish weather, "we've struck gold" was the text I sent to a friend who couldn't make it. Idyllic setting, quiet except for the crashing of the waves on the shore, at the top of the village overlooking all of Dingle Bay and Rossbeigh Beach. Within easy drive of the Skellig Ring and the Reeks. The house was spotlessly clean and obviously well maintained, everything in perfect working order, including the electricity meter - be sure to have plenty of euro coins! The starter pack of provisions was most welcome, especially the makings of a cosy open fire. As well as the superb view of the strand from the living room window, the view to the starlit night sky was superb--be sure to look up! The best thing, of course, was the fact that the cottage was dog friendly and we enjoyed the break with our little four legged pal. He came home exhausted from all the fresh air, with easy access to the dunes and other local walks, including the fairy forest trail and Dooks beach, a 15min drive where U can exercise your pets off leash. The local pub also welcomed all of us into the snug, so we were able to enjoy a bite to eat and a few bowls of water together (it was a quiet time of day/early season, so this might not always be the rule) - on a side note, 'pet friendly accommodation' is still something of a rarity in Ireland, so when you find a good spot do your best to keep it that way - we removed our own and some other dogs poop from the lawn...

Property does offer good value for money.. very basic & a little dated but perhaps this gave a little charm reflecting back to youth when times were less complex & cluttered with the every day taken for granted. You need to take into account weather will dictate how many 2 Euro coins will be needed to feed meter for heating. Log burner was great for added heat & ambiance. Location & view across bay & mountains is quite superb. Beach & pub are 2 minutes walk. Owners are very helpful & quick to respond with any advice.

This property is one of eight cottages, all belonging to the same owner, in the same location complex.. We were allocated cottage No.3. This was not the cottage that was shown in the advertisement and the furnishings/fixtures were quite different and rather dated. Also, it said, 'enclosed garden' and ours was not. Now this did not matter to us, as we had neither children nor pets but it could have been a problem if we had. The view was absolutely stunning and so was the location, just of the 'Ring of Kerry'. Eileen, the owner was very friendly and provided refreshments on arrival. We found the cost of heating and electricity here very reasonable (unlike our expectation). I think Sykes description of the cottage should make it clear that you may be allocated any one of the eight, as it is presently outside the customers control, and at the owners own discretion. The decor and furnishings of each cottage is different! However, this is not a complaint, we enjoyed the holiday immensely but just feel that the property description needs amending

We had a very comfortable stay and were well looked after by the accommodation staff.. We were also very lucky with the weather as the country is going through a heatwave and we were staying in a house by the sea with made our stay very enjoyable indeed!!

The Cottage was beautifully located overlooking the beach in Rossbeigh.. It was within easy driving distance of the ring of Skellig, Dingle penninsula, Valencia Island and the ring of Kerry which are amazing natural attractions that everyone visiting Kerry should see. Rossbeigh beach is a long strand and must be amazing in the summer. We just went after a cold snap in March but still had fun wandering through the sand dunes with the kids. Local shops are 2km away on a country road so you can't really let younger children go by themselves. The cottage is definitely more suited to a summer home as the bedrooms were a bit damp for the time of year. If you have teenagers make sure they have "all they can eat data" on their mobile devices as there was no wifi or internet in the cottage. Also no DVD with the TV so if you get stuck in doors due to bad weather hope you brought a deck of cards and some board games or the kids will rapidly bore of what's on offer through the Irish national TV stations. Also found continuously having to feed the electricity meter for Hot water, cooking etc a bit annoying (make sure to bring plenty of €2 euro coins). I think the owners should really consider putting the electricity on bill pay and factor it into the cottages rental price as it will make for a much more relaxing atmosphere for visitors. All in all though had a great stay and I'm sure it would have been even better if we had visited peak season when the weather is really all you need for a great holiday.
