Roseville is a perfect location for Balinasloe but transport is needed as it is too far to nearest town, I was fortunate to have my daughter with me as she hired a car and the rest of us don't drive other wise it would have been a big expense in taxi's as there is no public transport.. Having said that the cottage was lovely as are the owners.
Very cosy cottage with friendly owners and locals
Lovely stay in a traditional Irish town, handy for Connemara as well as the midlands.. Excellent public transport for City visits. The stay is ideal for the summer months as well as the winter. Hosts are experts on local heritage.
A wonderful welcome from the owners. Would definitely come back to this wonderful house. Nothing too much trouble.
We had a wonderful time!
The cottage was full of character and many beautiful, original features. It felt full of history. The garden was amazing!
Managed to get this booked at short notice, as we needed to attend a funeral in Galway. The owners hospitality is second to none and he even came around on the last day at short notice to let us back in after we mislaid our passports! There are local pubs, a shop and a takeaway, we found it a very quiet and relaxing property with the main town of Ballinasloe only a ten minute drive and Galway town centre only fifty minutes away. Lovely rustic styled property to relax in, would say it would be even better in the winter months with the wood burning stoves chucking out the heat.
