Rose Cottage is a traditional, semi-detached black and white cottage, ideally located on the outskirts of the pretty town of Upton upon Severn, overlooking the marina and can sleep six people. The cottage has three double bedrooms (one accessed from one side only), a bathroom, a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and gas stove. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, lockable bike storage and a lawned garden with patio, furniture and a barbecue. Rose Cottage is a lovely cottage for your break away.

Upton upon Severn is an attractive riverside town in Worcestershire, six miles from Great Malvern. The town has historic buildings, a good selection of shops and inns, and is within easy reach of walking in the Malvern Hills , the city of Gloucester and the Forest of Dean.

Rose cottage is a delightful, quaint original property with all the modcons you would need for a trip away to the country. You can leave your car at the property which is located on the banks of the river while you walk leisurely to the Marina or the beautiful village of Upton upon Severn. Stop and have a great meal and drink on the riverside at one of the many public houses, great location There is a BBQ and patio area which is peaceful and relaxing at the cottage too. Cannot recommend enough for a great relaxing getaway, the property has everything you need. Thank you for an amazing staycation!

Cosy old cottage but little daylight and inadequate lighting.. Low ceilings in the bedrooms so watch your head. The property requires general upgrading and better maintenance. Having said that the area was beautiful with lots of nice walks and interesting places to see. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants in the area. Great Malvern is worth a visit. We had a great time in spite of the limitations of the cottage.

Amazing setting right next to the river.. A 15 minute walk to the beautiful village of Upton Upon Severn and 10 minutes walk to the marina. The cottage is beautiful with plenty of indoors and outdoor space with adequate seating for 6 inside and out. Equipped with a BBQ and all mod cons for good and bad weather. Adored the property and would highly recommended to anyone after a relaxing staycation.

There was just one problem that I had with the cottage I phoned the owner before we went to ask if any bedding had feathers as I have an allergy to them I was told there wasn’t any.. But the first night I had breathing problems I then found two pillows were duck down which gave me the problem.

Beautiful cottage with plenty of room on offer.. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable living room. Ideally located, just a few minutes walk to the town centre which has so many fascinating shops and pubs. Really happy we visited and will certainly book again in the future.

A very quaint cottage that was larger than anticipated in a beautiful and convenient location on the waterside near Upton on Severn marina.. When I read the description I thought one bedroom was off another whereas in reality there were 3 separate bedrooms all with double beds and their own access. The owner was lovely and contacted us saying not to rush on departure, which was very useful as one of the party was 92 years old. Hope to return at a future date.

We spent a fantastic Christmas in Rose Cottage, great accommodation cosy and very warm. The cottage is overlooking the marina and is a five minute walk from pubs and restaurants in Upton. Perfectly equipped and very attentive owner, left us welcome pack and Xmas card, and even posted back something we had left behind! Amazing location to explore The Malverns, Worcester and Gloucester...would love to come back, perfect holiday home.

Lovely weekend stay in Rose Cottage, Upton.. Very cosy,clean & good supply of usual household item's eg: cleaning products, bin bags, tea towels etc. Lovely supply of tea, coffee etc.A short 5 minute walk into Upton several very friendly pubs nearby. Great location.Would definitely recommend. 5 out of 5.

Disappointed with patio area, needs some attention.. View to marina blocked by overgrown trees, this I must add is not the fault of the owner of the cottage. A lot of building work in progress close to the cottage. River now not accessible, but that's progress!!

The cottage was advertised as "overlooking the marina", but the tree, shrub and bramble growth was so great that all view of the marina was blocked.. ..very disappointing.

Due to a last minute cancellation from another Sykes cottage, Rose cottage was able to accommodate us which we were very grateful for.. Although for 3 tall men we found the ceilings a little low

What a beautiful little town not too far from the midlands, the town is excellent with lots of nice country side public houses, everybody so friendly and the town has everything one would need. The cottage itself is of high standard nice and quiet and can sleep up to 8 people, so loads of space. The garden area is a bonus, would be very nice for BBQ's in the summer months. Will be returning.

on the banks of the marina in Upton upon severn a short walk from the town , could not wish for better facilities enclosed private garden with barbecue facilities overlooking marina. ideal location for exploring malverns and surrounding area very peaceful location cottage is extremly well equipped with washing machine and dryer , very spacious for family and every comfort whilst retaining traditional feel owners could not be more helpful and accomadating

We booked Rose Cottage for Christmas for a group of 5 people.. The owners of the cottage were very accommodating and on hand to help us with any questions we had. The cottage itself is spacious for a cottage and fit 5 people very easily and comfortably. The kitchen could use a few more utensils and a bigger fridge but was still sufficient to cook a full Christmas roast dinner. The area itself is beautiful. Upton upon Severn was perfect for a relaxing, quiet getaway. Would definitely recommend booking for a nice stay and easy access to the Cotswolds.

There were many areas of bad black mould in and around the tiny shower cubicle. The bath panel and tiles were badly cracked and falling away. Both issues potential harbour of bacteria and not at all healthy and clearly established over a lengthy period of time with nothing having been done about it. The rest of the cottage was adequate but there was no warmth or friendly atmosphere about it. Be aware the claimed marina views are hidden once the boundary trees come into leaf which of course is for most of the main rental period from spring onwards. The BBQ and seating area was a rather muddy patch and unattractive. Regrettably the owner failed to respond to our written complaint and request for some compensation for the cleaning we had to do.

Located next to the marina and across the bridge from the high street, this little cottage can sleep 3 couples really comfortably. It is warm and welcoming cottage and weather permitting the grill area out back is private. Loved watching the rabbits playing out front. Kitchen is pretty well equipped including a washer/dryer. If you are tall however watch you head.

I have stayed twice at Rose Cottage and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits.. The cottage has everything you need plus more and is very comfortable. I especially like the location, it is a short walk to the town which has everything you need. Travelling from overseas I appreciated the care basket of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sauces and also having a clothes dryer, makes laundry so much quicker! When I first stayed in November 2016, I was not familiar with the use of the electric cooktop and oven and the fireplace but the owners were so kind and helpful and took their time to explain to me how to use each of them. The owners made me feel very welcomed and when I returned in Sept 2017, it felt like I was coming back home.
