Self-Catering Reviews

Charlott
December 2015
With kitchen and laundry facilities, the house suited our needs perfectly. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed for a 10 day stay with kids was included. We phoned ahead, and the owner, Nuala, met us at the door and gave us a quick run down of how things worked (easily) when we got there. She lives next door and was very friendly and accommodating. The house is situated within easy distance of everything we did - close to N-17 off the N-5 without hearing or seeing any traffic. Per the rental description, the heating oil was metered at an extra cost. Our heating bill was 80 Euro for 10 days - probably not bad as it was late December and the temperature outside was unseasonably rainy and cold. Overall, it was a good experience. We had a lovely time.

Nice cottage in Western Ireland. Very central. Definitely need a car to get around as public transport is minimal. Three bedroom property, with one bathroom and one en-suite. Nuala the owner is a lovely person who does her best to make your stay a comfortable one.

I stayed at this beautiful, tranquil cottage in March with my partner, I had traced back my roots to West Ireland to visit old family farms and see family. I stayed here just one night at the end of my trip, and truthfully, had'nt felt more welcome all trip as I did here. The grounds are set back off the road that takes you into the town, which is only a five minute drive. The landscape is stunning. Rugged and wild for as far as the eye can see, with the mountains in the distance. Really not a bad view first thing in the morning, to say the least. Breakfast was lovely, cereals, toast, and full irish breakfast, which was welcomed after a great night in town the night before. Would love to thank the Quinn family for such a lovely stay and I shall see you again in the summer. Jack.
