Popular for its quaint harbour and nearby sandy beaches, Beadnell is only minutes away from the charming village of Seahouses, and the variety of amenities on offer there. I was a bit disappointed in the fact that I had to supply my own toilet rolls as .... I was a bit disappointed in the fact that I had to supply my own toilet rolls as none were supplied apart from that holiday was great

Decent accommodation albeit quite small.. However, it was in an ideal setting and central to a lot of the regions attractions

Have stayed several times before.. Excellent location for walks, birdwatching, dog lovers, visits to castles etc. Dont be alarmed by loud clunk from kitchen cupboard when the heating turns on and off in Rockpool. Probably aswitch tripping. Heating otherwise easy to control and effective. Bedroom too small for double bed. It should have been built a foot wider as the lounge plenty big enough anyway. Bathroom also very small. Door hits toilet too easily. As i rent as single occupant non of this is bothersome to me. I shall return.

The only fly in the ointment was I found the bathroom heater inadequate for winter.. However apart from that the cottage was clean, warm and very well equipped, with a good and clear folder of how to work the heating ect plus up to date bus timetables and tides. Tho as I'm inept at working modern TV's I had to contact the owners to give me blow by blow instructions of how to play a DVD on their system - they were extremely helpful. I also recieved a really helpful text message from them on my journey up to say that the cottage was ready earlier than planned and to warn me of the icy conditions then there, which meant I retimed my journey, arrived earlier and managed to get in a short walk before it got too dark. There was also a lovely welcome surprise of a milk and chocolates. There are some lovely walks around the village, and further onto the coastal path and is very well located for trips further afield. I will go back there again and recommend it to friends.

The cottage was snug, warm and clean.. It had more than enough cutlery, pots, pans, bottle openers, towels, dog bowls etc to be fully equipped. Good folder on the area and what to do or where to go. Also the front garden was well fenced for the dog to run out in. Plus the lovely biscuits and milk left for us was a nice touch. We had a great 5 days there will book again.

We had a lovely week at Rockpool Cottage, it had everything we needed and was like a little home from home.. We had to contact the owner for some info regarding the heating as we didn't want to do any damage to the system. He was very pleasant and we sorted it over the phone in a couple of minutes - job sorted. Situated on a little row of similar little cottages in a quiet area of Beadnell. It is ideally placed for visiting places of interest, such as Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands, Bamburgh, birthplace of Grace Darling and the magnificant Bamburgh Castle, Craster for it's famous kippers and Crab sandwiches, beautiful little Low Newton by the Sea, Holy Island but be sure to check the crossing times info in the cottage holiday guide, and many many other places. Our little dog Tilly appreciated the garden and was so tired after nice walks and running free on the many beaches, she slept like a log. We would definitely go back to Rockpool Cottage again as it had everything we needed for a leisurely chilled out holiday and its situation allowed us easy access to places in the surrounding area.

Looks like the owners bring so called cleaners in as far as i could tell only the bed and towels were changed,no general cleaning as such i had to clean the bathroom on arrival.. The allocated parking was not evident and we stumbled on it by chance after parking outside the cottage for two days which might not go down too well with residents. On the plus side well equiped kitchen plenty of hot water and heating, lots of information for days out comfortable bed and thankyou for mattress and pillow protectors.the cottage was a good base for touring but could do with some external TLC.I appreciate the owners have ony had the place since january but a few issues certainly need attention a three star rating is about right.

An excellent location for exploring the coast of Northumberland and being near to Seahouses and the Farne Islands.. Would have helped to know where the car parking space was just down the road. The place was very comfortable and clean with good information for our stay.

Found the cottage in the charming village of Beadnell to be clean, tidy and comfortable and in a good location.. Well equipped also. Excellent value.
March 2018
This was our second visit to Beadnell, but our first time staying in this accommodation. It found to be homely, clean, well equipped, well maintained and overall comfortable. Our dog loved the garden area at the front of the property and spent many an hour at the gate watching the world go by. The property is close to all amenities pub, beach and shop. It provided a good base for some excellent walks. For example Low Newton, Seahouse and Bamburgh. If we wanted to go further afield it has good road links to Alnwick, Berwick, and all of the border towns. We found we didn't want to go to far as the beaches are fantastic and we could walk for miles with our dog.

This cottage is excellent value for money.. It is well equipped, comfortable and is close to all the essential amenities pub, shop and beach. The village is a pleasant walk to seahouses. For the more serious walkers you can walk to Bamburgh or Low Newton. It is an excellent base to travel by car or on foot.

The cottage was very cramped in the bathroom and in the bedroom.. The walls are very thin and you can hear the other three sets of people occupying the 3 adjoining properties and their dogs. I never realised the cottage was attached on three sides. The bedside tables are made of sea grass and they cannot be cleaned consequently they are full of dirt and fluff but the rest of the cottage was clean. I was disappointed and wouldnt return to the property

Rockpool Cottage is in a fabulous location, peaceful yet close to the beach.. Owners had provided everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable break including free Wi-Fi great if you need to be on line, as we did. Pet friendly cottage too - just ideal. Will definitely re-book in the future.
