Riemore is a wonderful little cottage with loads of character, in a fantastic location! The cottage owners live just next door and they are a lovely couple. They are thoughtful, considerate and extremely helpful, and I would highly recommend staying at Riemore with Sykes to anyone. 5* A+

A really friendly welcome with log fires lit and waiting for our arrival.. It is an excellent place to explore all the whiskey distillery’s the area has. Nearby Grantown on Spey has a great museum with an interesting talk by one of the curators. A cracking Holiday.

Great cottage with very welcoming owners.. Cosy nights by the fire (with ample wood supplied) and a perfect base to explore the outdoors (and the odd distillery!)

Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Open fire with plenty of wood was nice The kitchen has a fridge freezer , fridge , dishwasher and washing machine It is very narrow The second and third bedrooms are on the small side. Bathroom is downstairs which may be a problem for some. We paid £465 for the week in September - for a family this would be good value Tomintoul has a choice of places to eat - Richmond Arms was good value and great food. Lovely walks around the village and plenty of distilleries and castles to visit A relaxing stay

A lovely cottage, with all the amenities for true self sufficiency. The place was immaculately clean. Lots of wood available for real fires but not needed when we stayed. Fresh towns, warm comfortable beds. A really warm welcome from the owners who genuinely wanted us to have the best of stays. Helpful & informative about the area. Two minutes away on foot from lovely wooded walks. Surrounded by nesting lapwing, deer and other wildlife. 30 minutes from Grantown and the journey is beautiful. Travelling the other way towards Deeside takes in breathtaking Cairngorm scenery. A discovery centre, shops, bars, restaurants & a serious whisky shop in Tomintoul. A lovely cottage to stay in and part of an authentic historic Scottish highland village and on the doorstep of some of the finest scenery the Cairngorms has to offer. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and hospitality. We arrived quite late and the home owner rang round the pubs/restaurants to see where was still serving and even told us that she would get us sorted if we couldn't find anywhere!!! We stayed here for a week with family from Australia. It was just an amazing place, both with its location and the cottage itself. The home owners could not have done any more for us-they were so kind. We sat out in the garden at breakfast and dinner time, just to take in the beautiful surroundings... I could not recommend this place enough! Maggie, the dog, was also welcomed with a smile. The cottage itself is so clean and perfect for a one year old crawling about! Thanks again for everything!
