In the centre of Ostend you will find numerous restaurants and taverns, the famous fish stalls and the harbour with the famous museum ship Mercator. The casino and the Kursaal are also very popular sites. A visit to the World Heritage city of Bruges, 20 km away, is highly recommended, as well as a trip to Plopsaland de Panne and Sealife Blankenberge. You can also rent bikes and cycle through the dunes.
