Area Llantwit Major is one of the Vale of Glamorgan's most picturesque communities, and it is home to several historic structures, including the first church in the area (built over 1,500 years ago) as well as spectacular natural features like caverns and sandy beaches. You can indulge in some retail therapy at Cowbridge's high-end boutiques, or you can go the short distance to Bridgend's town centre and famed outlet village. Sand beaches, a surf school, fantastic fishing, and a popular park can be found on Barry Island and Porthcawl, two of the many seaside resorts that dot the rugged and magnificent Glamorgan Heritage Coastline and the Wales Coast Path. Ogmore-by-Sea, on the other hand, has a long, pristine beach and a riding stable where you may go for beach rides. Cardiff and Swansea are easily accessible by train or automobile, so you may travel there for a day of shopping, theatre, music, and sports. The world-famous open-air Folk Museum may be found in St. Fagans, not far from Cardiff.
