It is also well-known for being one of the notable filming locations of the popular TV show Gavin and Stacey and offers everything from fantastic green spaces to historic attractions and glorious seaside. As well as an array of shops, pubs, and eateries to choose from, the town boasts oodles of history at the Barry War Museum and the funfair, once a reminder of its humble beginnings as a popular resort for miners and industrial workers, it has now flourished into a holiday empire. From Barry, visit the bustling city of Cardiff, where tourists can enjoy an abundance of shops, theatres, and bars as well as the magnificent Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Bay, or take a day trip to Newport and Bridgend, which reside only a short car journey away.
