Holiday Rental Description

Situated down a quiet no through road, this impressive longhouse is surrounded by rolling hills and towering trees and enjoys a tranquil location in the wild and remote countryside above Llanwrtyd Wells. Step out of the front door for long walks through the unspoilt countryside, along quiet country lanes and tranquil bridleways. Alternatively, hop in the saddle and spend the day exploring the surrounding area by mountain bike. The pretty town of Llanwrtyd Wells (3 miles) is only a short drive away where you will find a host of independent stores, welcoming cafes and pubs serving local produce and ales. The town is home to a range of unusual events including a bog snorkelling triathlon, the Welsh Open Stone Skimming Championships and the World Alternative Games. Spend the day in the seaside town of Aberaeron (34 miles) where you can enjoy a boat trip around the harbour, dine on freshly caught seafood and kayak your way along the river. One of only two properties at this location, this imposing farmhouse offers spacious accommodation and an interior design that reflects the heritage of the property. Park your car on the gravelled area and step through the front door into the large entrance hall with an original dark oak staircase leading to the upper floors. There is plenty of room to greet guests and remove outdoor clothing and shoes. The kitchen blends traditional charm and modern conveniences and is designed with socialising in mind. With exposed brickwork and original beams, this is a very spacious room where you can cook and spend time together. Fully equipped with a large Rangemaster electric cooker with a six ring hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, there is no problem catering for larger groups. Off the kitchen is a handy utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a convenient shower room with WC on this floor. The dining room is an inviting space to linger over meals, with a flagstone floor and large traditional wood burner set into an alcove with original beam. There are two dining tables seating 12 guests in total and sofas and chairs for you to unwind after your evening meal. A separate sitting room has a TV and DVD for relaxed nights in. Ascend the ancient oak staircase to the first floor where you will find four comfortable bedrooms, all tastefully decorated in soothing shades. The king size bedroom has exposed ceiling beams and enjoys an en suite shower room with WC. With lovely views across the garden, the generous double bedroom is a restful space with an en suite shower room and WC. There is also a cosy twin bedroom and a fourth bedroom with a single bed. On this level, you will find the family bathroom with a bath and WC and a separate shower room with WC. Continue up a further flight of steep cottage style stairs to a large attic bedroom with sloping ceilings, a king size bed and en suite shower room with WC. You will also find an additional single bed in an adjoining room with plenty of room for younger guests to play or relax in front of the TV. The final bedroom is another king size bedroom with sloping ceilings reached up a further flight of very steep cottage style stairs in the attic. Stepping outside, there is a wide expanse of lawn for garden games and picnics. Spread out your blankets for stargazing under the clear night skies. Fire up the BBQ for a leisurely evening meal or sit on the terrace and enjoy the fabulous views.
