Holiday home
Trout Cottage is a semi-detached ground floor cottage near to the village of Llanwrthwl in Mid Wales. The cottage sleeps two people and has one twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking and a garden with outdoor furniture. With three other cottages on site and a spectacular location next to the River Wye, Trout Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage.

All ground floor. One twin bedroom with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Area
The village of Llanwrthwl sits on the River Wye between Builth Wells and Rhayader. Llanwrthwl is home to a small shop and church which is home to a prehistoric standing stone. Rhayader is three miles away and has shops, restaurants, pubs and a leisure complex.

Region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Off road parking for 2 cars. Front patio and rear sitting area with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and petrol station 1.2 miles, pub 2.6 miles. Note: Private salmon, trout and grayling fly fishing available on a catch and release basis only at £20 per rod, per week.

Trout Cottage Is in an ideal peaceful location, right on the river Wye, birdlife amazing.. Property had main essentials left for you including anti bac sprays etc and was lovely and clean. Owners Jonathan and Ghee ( and Freddie the dog) most welcoming.

THIS SMALL ESTATE BY THE RIVER WYE IS A SMALL PART OF PARADISE, WITH 3 OTHER LARGER COTTAGES TO RENT IF YOU NEED MORE ACCOMMODATION.. APART FROM SOME ROAD NOISE IT IS PEACE AND TRANQUILITY WITH VERY FRIENDLY OWNERS.

The surroundings were beautiful, the french windows meant just siting looking was a pleasure, we lost count of the number of bird species we saw.. The lack of internet and mobile phone signals just made the holiday more restful. It was a great place for visiting Aberyswyth, Carmarthen, Brecon, Ludlow, Hereford, Worcester, Shrewsbury and all places in between. The real highlight was the nearby Red Kite feeding station of Gilgrin. Amazing.

There was a small water heater under the sink which should have given us 7 litres of hot water but in reality didn't cover the bottom of the washing up bowl. We reported this to the owner who did send out the plumber. When we next saw the owner he told us " It Is what it is I'm afraid". For the whole week we had to boil the kettle in order to wash our pots. I personally don't think this is the way to treat guests. On the plus side the wildlife we saw was amazing!! The river is only metres away where you can watch the antics of the dippers or if you're very lucky as we were see the otters

Excellent value for money, wonderful location, lovely owners.. For anyone wanting a relaxing holiday this is the place. get back to nature watching the numerous birds on the feeders,kites soaring overhead and the beautiful river wye at the bottom of the garden, fabulous x

This is the best accommodation that I have stayed at in the UK and could recommend to everyone and will be returning. There is so much to do and see in mid Wales that I never thought of, and the host's were the top's.
