The award-winning restaurants, cosy pubs, and charming shops in the mediaeval market towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow, as well as festivals and markets, such as annual Christmas markets, can be found there. Ludlow also has over 600 listed buildings and Ludlow Castle, so there is something to do all year long. The Roundton Hill Nature Reserve and Iron Age Hill Fort in neighbouring Churchstoke is a haven for biodiversity and the habitat of numerous native British birds.
