The Welsh town of Brecon is the ideally located for lovers of the outdoors. As well as its Georgian architecture, you can follow Captain's Walk to see the remains of Brecon's medieval walls or visit The Royal Welsh Regimental Museum at Brecon Barracks (0.5 miles). Take advantage of good weather to cruise the canal that links Brecon with Newport.
