The small community is served by a service station with a shop, along with a good pub serving food. There are plenty of picturesque walks and cycling routes available, and the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains are within easy driving distance as well as the incredibly scenic Elan and Wye Valleys. A popular attraction is the red kite feeding station at Rhayader, just under half an hour’s drive away, which has greatly improved the number of these beautiful birds, which can be regularly seen winging on high overhead. All year round you can enjoy the various fairs and events at nearby Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells including the Royal Welsh Show, antiques and craft fairs and the unusual challenge of the Man v Horse Marathon.
