"My son and family stayed in Skomer Lodge, we stayed in Ramsey Lodge, a fantastic place for a family break, Lodge excellent, with dogs welcome and ideal place to stay with having a secure garden."
Area great for walking too, Manorbier beach being nearby. Would highly recommend.

"We found the lodge to be everything we expected and wanted."
We were very cozy comfortable and at home until the manager came (I believe to welcome us) and made us super on guard when he made a point of informing us we had left the ge outside light on, almost demanded to meet our dog and implied she should be running in the dog field provided or down in the beach rather than lying in the chalet, when said field was visited we found it not to be fenced and thus not really safe for dogs to run off the lead. It was a shame that the "welcome" visit did not feel so welcome and our stay became stilted and stiff from the relaxed it had been. It's a lovely place, in so many ways and without that visit would have been a fabulous stay recommended to everyone.

"Property was wonderful, finished to a high standard."
Dog friendly as an added bonus. We would definitely visit again and already recommended it to family and friends.

"What an amazing stay!"
The lodge was perfect - couldn’t fault it in anyway - clean and modern with excellent facilities. Enclosed garden was great so that our two dogs had a place to play safely. Only wish the weather had been on our side so that we could have sat outside to enjoy the patio and fire pit! The owners are lovely so friendly and helpful. Communication was excellent - the Bara brith and dog biscuits were such a lovely touch. 5 stars just isn’t enough only wish we could have given more!! Thank you for a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back in the future! Lesley, Emily & Fur babies Malibu & Bailey x

"We left a day early and put this holiday down as a poor experience."
Though immaculately presented Skomer lodge is sandwiched in between a new build site of about 20 houses and the owners house and garden. The owner has a construction project or similar in his garden or grounds which was pretty relentless power tool noise from 8.00am onwards. No lazy lie ins here. We did politely mention the noise a couple of times and were promised it would stop, but it didn’t until the last Friday, when we simply chose to leave. The owners clearly knew this was an issue and offered us a cake to apologise. Will never go back or recommend. Waste of a week.

"Really lovely property."
Spotlessly clean and modern. Also a great location for exploring the local areas and beaches.

"This is a lovely base for a holiday - all the facilities you need and the enclosed garden a real plus when you have a dog."
Location puts you close to so many lovely places. Will be back.

"An amazing lodge."
The owners have thought of everything when it comes to all your creature comforts. Owners always available nice welcome gift including prosecco bara brrith and biscuits for the dogs. Will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone.

"It was everything we could of wanted."
Owners really helpful and when I made an enquiry if there was a fan at property they immediately responded with" we will happily provide one". The garden was so so safe and private especially for the dogs. The welcome " pack" was great ( especially the bara brith and proseco) . We had such a lovely time we are going back in August!

"Lovely accommodation, very well equipped, lovely location and setting and very friendly owners."
The only real downer on the week was there was a bonfire lit virtually every week evening and we couldn't enjoy the garden in the evening and had to close windows and doors and stay inside, as my wife suffers from COPD a lung infection that severely affects her breathing. There are also building works going on in close proximity that we should have been warned about before booking. Fortunately it was on the other side to us ,and didn't impact on our stay to much. But overall very happy and would book again in the future.

"Excellent location Beautiful beaches and walks within a few miles Accommodation first class"

"Skomer lodge is lovely, clean and comfortable with a safe envionrment even for my little escape artist terrier in a beautiful part of Wales."
I would recommend a stay here but only when the construction work is complete. Building work is currently going on behind the lodge so I was woken before 8 am every morning by vehicle reversing alarms. This was very disappointing as I had booked the stay to catch up on sleep and relax in the garden which the construction noise interrupted. I understand that this is not the owner’s fault but feel I should have been made aware of the works prior to booking.

"Stayed at Skomer Lodge for three nights over a bank holiday weekend."
The cleanest placed we have ever stayed with fantastic facilities and in a great location. Owners were available but didn't bother anyone and super friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend with or without dogs. If you do have dogs is super safe. Stay here, it's fantastic and sits in a beautiful part of lovely Wales!

"After a 7 hour journey to arrive at the Lodge what we hoped for, we got."
It was immaculately clean and had everything you needed to make your stay enjoyable. It is very dog friendly with enclosed decking and rear garden. The owner Barry was very knowledgeable and helpful and on hand should you need anything. There is a bus stop and train station within walking distance of the Lodge. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to escape for a few days.

"Really pleased with our last minute choice for a short break away with our new little grandson."
The accommodation had everything you could think of and more for a comfortable and relaxing break. The owners were friendly and the welcome pack including Bara brith was a real treat. Dog friendly and good dog walk onsite. An ideal location for Tenby, Manobier, Saundersfoot and Barfundle. We will be back.

"Skomer lodge was an amazing place, catering for people and dogs."
Inside+the lodge was immaculate, modern , warm and inviting . The kitchen was perfect, bathroom was huge and boot room was handy to store dog things, coats , wellies etc . Local pub castle inn , has amazing food , Manorbier beach was fab , within walking distance, car park is there too. Went on train to Tenby . Peaceful area, Will come and again . Downside : No cleaning products for bathroom, kitchen ,only washing up liquid . No tinfoil to use in oven , no kitchen roll, Would preferred bath sheets instead of bath towels. Bring extra tea, coffee sugar , toilet roll
Thank you for your positive feedback. We do provide a welcome pack but the properties are self catering properties and guests are expected to bring their own supplies for the rest of the week. Property Owner

"We have just returned from a weeks stay at one of the lodges and can't rate it highly enough!"
Perfect location to explore lovely Pembrokeshire and the lodge it's self was spotlessly clean, really comfortable and had absolutely everything we could need. Our daughters loved the games room too! The lodge was great for our dog, with a really lovely, secure lawned garden. We will definitely be returning!

"Lovely quiet setting."
Excellent lodge and very dog friendly. Totally secure garden. Very clean and well looked after. Home from home with everything you could need. The lodge was extremely well furnished and decorated to a high standard. Lovely courtyard and porch to sit out too.

"We had a really lovely stay at skomer lodge!"
Perfect location for exploring Pembrokeshire, everything in the lodge we could need for our stay and spotlessly clean. Thank you again and we look forward to returning again in the future.

"Just Wonderful!"
Perfectly located for Tenby and the surrounding areas. Chosen as it was dog friendly but this is no ordinary dog friendly accommodation. The lodge is absolutely pristine, and the decor and furniture to a higher standard than most. Enclosed garden at the back and veranda to the front was perfect for our blind dog, perfectly secure. For the humans the tea, coffee, milk (and prosecco if you want it) on arrival was a nice tough. Well equipped, everything you need for a holiday is provided in the lodge, torch, tea towel, sponge, washing up liquid, hairdryer, iron. It just feels like the owners really take pride in their accommodation and want their guests to have the best stay. The little extra touches they have provided don't go unnoticed. Thank you.

"We have just returned from our first stay at bierwood lodges & we weren't disappointed."
Booked as a last minute getaway Skomer Lodge was set in lovely tranquil surroundings & was lovely & clean & tidy. The added bonus here is the enclosed gardens with a patio & furniture. This was a great base to relax in between visiting its many beaches & towns. The owners were very approachable & on hand if needed . The weather was glorious for the 6 nights we stayed. I have already booked a lodge for June as luckily there was availability.Thank you Barry, Jacinta & Liz

Wonderfully warm, very clean and a lovely welcome pack awaited our arrival. Great location as a 10 minute walk to the train line taking you into Tenby and beyond if you didn't want to drive. Definitely revisit.

"Fab stay and beautiful lodge."
Perfect for the dogs with enclosed garden. Excellent location for the beautiful beaches in Pembrokeshire. Could do with an outside light in the car park for the autumn nights.
Thank you for your feedback. We have now installed motion sensor lighting in the car park. Property Owner

"We had a fantastic week at the Skomer Lodge."
It is in a super location, not far from Tenby, but with the benefit of being quiet and secluded. Perfect for taking the dog with the secure garden, and the good-size utility room is a real bonus. The lodge was warm and cosy and beautifully furnished. Our only negative was no dishwasher. The owners were very welcoming and the welcome tray of goodies a nice touch. We have booked again and hope for another lovely week. Thank you!

"We had a fantastic week in Skomer Lodge, it had everything you could need and was very comfortable."
Tea, coffee, milk, bara brith etc were all very welcome after a long drive. Everything was spotless. It is situated in a lovely location with plenty of beautiful walks, including the lily ponds which then lead down onto Broad Haven beach and the walk to Barafundle Bay. We have always loved this part of Wales and this was the ideal place to stay within easy distance of many delightful places. We will be booking to return soon.

"A wonderful week in wonderful lodge, such a great place to stay both comfortable and stylish in a brilliant location for Tenby and the national trust beaches at Stackpole, Barafundle and Broad haven South."
The kitchen has everything we needed and with a young family we cooked every night along with a few bbqs in the garden. We particularly liked the bonus of the communal spaces.. Boules and badminton area alongside the games room which we used in the evening after a day on the beach. The utility room is another great feature of this property. We would love to return one day.
