Area Tenby is a popular tourist destination on the stunningly gorgeous 'Welsh Riviera,' and is sometimes referred to as "The Jewel in the Crown" of Wales. The Gulf Stream helps keep the sea in Tenby and the rest of Pembrokeshire, where the park is located, a comfortable temperature, and the county is consistently one of the sunniest in the United Kingdom. This picturesque town, protected by its original mediaeval walls, is home to a plethora of unique stores, an indoor market specialising in regional food, cosy cafes, and mouthwatering eateries. Nearly three miles of beautiful Blue Flag-awarded beaches offer a variety of watersports, and walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna along the coastal paths, something that the participants in the world-famous Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in the middle of September) don't have time for. It is highly suggested to take a boat excursion to Caldey Island to experience the peace and quiet of the island's monastic community and natural surroundings, as well as to see seals and puffins along the way. Visit neighbouring seaside towns of Saundersfoot and Manobier, or check out the exquisite Tudor Merchant's House. Oakwood Theme Park is an excellent, exciting destination for families with teenagers and younger children, while Folly Farm features a wide variety of native and exotic animals, as well as traditional fairground attractions. Here you will find everything you need for a relaxing and exciting vacation.
