Hillbrook House is even better than shown in the listing! It was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and is in an absolutely fantastic location , just 2 minutes walk from the beautiful beach. We were able to use the clifftop garden for a BBQ and watched the sun go down around the fire pit. Fantastic!

Highly recommend this House, from comfy beds, great facilities, a coffee sat on the bench outside the front door with amazing sea views ! Our family bubble stayed here recently and we had the best time with luckily great weather, body boarding on the beach of Nolton haven, to crabbing at beautiful Solva it’s only 10 miles drive along the stunning coast! We horse rode on Druidstone beach with Nolton stables it was just what the dr ordered. Unfortunately the brasserie (next door) was having refurbishment but not a problem as can’t wait to return to try that ! A Great Chinese we had delivered and also enjoyed lunch in the Duke of Edinburgh literally 2 miles to Newgale , enjoyed a amazing Sunday Lamb steak roast with all the trimmings in the Castle Inn again another close by village called Little haven 15 minute drive max with lovely little cove beach. I’m guessing you can see we didn’t want to leave ! Cannot wait to return and thank you for everything. Hopefully see you Nee year

Our second year here, Hillbrook’s location is fabulous, just 50 yards from a lovely beach and cove.. The property had everything we could wish for and was spotless when we arrived. The extra cleaning due to the pandemic seems to be working well and we did not mind the late check in to facilitate this. The new car park for the house is brilliant and a real bonus, easily holds 3 cars. The whole house is comfy and so much space. The children enjoyed organising a table football competition for us all. Even the beaches being red flagged for the last day or so due to Storm Ellen did not spoil our holiday. In fact the waves on the final day were very impressive!

We were already really excited about our stay at Hillbrook House but the listing simply doesn’t do the house or location justice.. We go away as an extended family regularly, but this was by far the best we’ve ever stayed in. The house itself it’s excellently equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. It has bags of space and several families could easily go away together without feeling cramped. The beds were comfortable, it had three bathrooms (one of which is a wet room which can be used when getting back from the beach) and even had a variety of water sports/beach equipment available to use too (wet suits and body boards as well as bucket and spades etc). The location though, is what sets this house apart from anywhere else we’ve stayed. The beach is literally 60 seconds from your door - a small cove which doesn’t get too busy and is perfect for body boarding and paddle boarding. Right next door is an excellent pub which serves lovely food - we really enjoyed the lobster from the evening menu and loaded fries over lunch. Nearby and worth a visit you have St David’s Cathedral, Tenby, Pembroke Castle and Manor Wildlife Park. This said, we’ve never spent as much time staying in and enjoying the immediate surroundings of a holiday getaway before. We would strongly recommend this house to others. In fact, for the first time, we’re considering returning again in the future. Overall an excellent host, with an excellent house in an excellent location. A huge thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Hillbrook house last weekend . My mother was 80 and we wanted to invites friends and family to a small party on the Saturday. The layout of the house was perfect. We also brought Jack the dog who also thought it was great. Maureen the owner called by and made us very welcome, everything was catered for from dishwasher tablets to hair dryer to a guide on where to go and eat. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable for 8 of us , we would definitely come back.

Everything was just perfect.. House was wonderfully set up for our large family. House was wonderfully warm on arrival, lovely welcome pack, even a card for my mother who was celebrating her 80th birthday. Wonderful house and hosts. Couldn’t more highly recommend.

Lovely house in a beautiful area.. Extremely well equipped kitchen and games cupboard. Welcome basket on arrival was a treat. So well done and thank you for a very enjoyable stay. St. David's is well worth a visit, the Cathedral is breath taking.

It was probably too big and a bit expensive for us as a family with two young children, but we were very pleased with it, and the kids had plnty of space!

Cottage is within 50 m of the beach - with a pub/restaurant in between.. Beach is lifeguarded which is a real bonus! We had 11 people in the house and it was never crowded The dining room table is fabulous and a great place to meet up and chat - we did not use the 2 lounges too much except late evening after dinner and games Lovely front garden with benches, BBQ and fire pit looking over the bay Very friendly owners who we saw often as they live in village Note - if you want fish and chips from the chippy at the Murco petrol station on the main road and its a large order - phone it through beforehand as they can only cook smaller amounts in one go and they are very busy at times! But the food is very good.

We all enjoyed our holiday very much.. The best thing was all of us had a lovely comfortable armchair to sit in which we have never had before in the last six years of holidaying in cottages. The closeness to the beach was great for the two little ones. The weather was not forecast but was absolutely amazing.
Mrs Pettet, June 2019

A perfect family holiday.. We stayed as a family group with 6 adults, two 3 year olds and a baby. It was perfect, we had so much space and the separate annex for the baby (and her parents!) meant that the rest of us were able to get a good nights sleep. We slept really well and didn't hear any noise from the restaurant next door. The beach is practically on the door step. A really good beach too- it had stones, sand and rock pools, everything a young child could want! There were also buckets, spades, nets and other toys provided at the cottage which was great. Tons to do near by too. We went to two castles, a chocolate factory and Broad Haven which is another lovely beach near by. We also went on bike rides (although be warned it's very hilly!) and walks around the coast (without the kids as the path isn't very safe for little ones!) The outside spaces are a huge bonus too. The back garden was lovely for the kids to run around but there is also another garden across the road which has an amazing view of the beach as well as a BBQ and fire pit which we made good use of! Everything we could possibly need was provided, including cots, children's toys and the kitchen was well equipped for large groups. We did have a problem with the dishwasher but this was quickly resolved by the owner (although we did have to drive somewhere to call as you don't get a phone signal here)

A large well equipped cottage, ideally situated for the beach.. Our family group of 10 ranged from 8 months to 90 years old and both the cottage and the location proved perfect for everyone, whether it was paddling in the rock pools, making sandcastles on the beach, surfing the waves, walking the dog, or just sitting in the sun - even the weather was kind.

We had a beautiful time at HIllbrook House over the Easter half term.. We had a range of ages to accommodate for and this property and the owners really ensured it would be fun for the children (games and a little hamper of chocolates) and a separate downstairs for elderly relatives who struggle with stairs. It’s a peaceful and wonderful little area with a short stroll to the local beach. The owners were very helpful if we had any questions and everyone loved the house (stylish and inviting). Thank you for the memories. X

Annually we take a property and invite our two daughters and their families to join us for the week.. This year we went with Sykes Cottages to Nolton Haven and as a result everyone declared it the best holiday so far. A very well appointed cottage in a delightful location.
Mr Tredwell, May 2019
April 2019
Location was beautiful, sadly the pub next door was lacking (opening times and choice)but is being refurbished.. There is a Roch Stores and Tesco not too far away. Would use this cottage again as a brilliant choice for a semi-disabled person as has a ground floor bedroom in annex and a wet room to rear of property.
Mrs Jones, April 2019
April 2019
Hillbrook House was an excellent venue for our Easter holiday.. With the excellent weather it’s location so close to the beach was perfect. We had 6 children in our party, ranging from 9 years to 17 months, all the beach equipment was very well used. The kitchen was very well equipped, the only down side was that there wasn’t a lot of worktop. Even though the garden was a walk away, we cooked our Sunday meal and carried it up and ate it in the sunshine overlooking the beach, earlier in the day all of the children had a great time in the garden at our Easter egg hunt. We all had an amazing time!

December 2018
Holiday home was lovely and bigger downstairs than expected.. The owners provided a lovely welcome hamper for us all which included tea, coffee sugar, biscuits, mince pies and chocolate lollipops for the 3 children. Although kitchen had everything we needed, we found there was limited workspace to prepare meals and we couldn’t plate meals up in the kitchen. The dining room table was large enough though for us to put cooked dishes straight onto the table. The annex provided a quiet haven for anyone who wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of a large party. We had a party of 12 from ages 75 to 2 years old. The annex bedroom was very comfortable with a large chest of drawers and clothes rail. 5 of the bedrooms did not have wardrobes but they had hooks on the wall and clothes rails with about 6 coat hangers. In my opinion 2 of the bedrooms should not be double due to the size of the rooms. They were very cramped and some of our party struggled with their clothing. One of the bedrooms was huge and had two built in wardrobes. All of the beds were very comfortable. We were left looking after a relatives dog over ther Xmas period due to an illness in the family and the owners were very kind in allowing us to bring him as well as the 2 dogs we had booked. We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

What a lovely holiday, the house was just perfect, it had everything you could need, beautifully furnished, spotless, amazing location.. We had 3 generations staying and everyone was happy. Owners were lovely too. We would definitely go back, I’d actually just love to live there!

October 2018
Celebrating our wedding anniversary with the family was perfect.. With 10 of us there was room for all of us, and the annex was perfect for my wife and myself. It was very well equipped with everything you could think of provided. We even had a anniversary card from the owners. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a fantastic place by the beach which is only a hundred yards away. Even the pub next door was not as bad as it was made out to be , quirky yes but ok. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Nolton Haven.

August 2018
There were 11 of us in our party, 7 adults, 1 teenager & 3 nearly-teenagers, so none of us small, & it felt like there wasn't much space, particularly when eating & in most of the bedrooms.. For a six bedroomed property, it was surprising that there were only 3 toilets, & even more surprising that only 6 toilet rolls were provided. In addition, effectively half a j-cloth & a handful of dishwasher tablets were simply insufficient. With 11 of us eating, we ran the dishwasher at least twice, if not 3 times a day & we quickly ran out. Similarly the amount of washing up liquid provided only lasted a few days! The 3 teatowels provided were also insufficient, for the number of times they had to be used. Can I suggest that you review the amount of consumables provided given the number of people staying. On the plus side, the house was very handy for playing on the beach/in the sea & the bodyboards were used nearly every day!
Mrs Richardson
July 2018
What a lovely cottage and what a great time we had.. Six comfortable bedrooms and several lounges gave eleven of us plenty of room. We had several keen cooks in our party and the well equipped main kitchen and even a second kitchen for overspill cooking were highly rated. We knew there was a private garden over the road behind the chapel but hadn't expected it to play such a large part in our week as it did - the private full view of the beach and the sea from high on the cliff was spectacular, and we spent a lot of time over there, barbequeing (brick BBQ provided) or just sitting with drinks at the picnic tables. It's fully fenced which is great if you have a dog, just let them wander around it off lead. There's a second garden directly behind the house, the view is only of the car park, but again this is fully fenced and dog escape proof. Turn right out of the front door and you're on Nolton Haven beach in 30 metres. Good beach, and the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath runs from each side of it so you can walk for miles either northwards or southwards. As other people have said, the walk on the path southwards to The Druidstone Inn is well worth doing. We booked an online home delivery from Asda for our groceries. I believe Tesco will deliver to this address too. Otherwise Lidl in Haverfordwest is the nearest decent size shop, there's also Morrisons a bit further into Haverfordwest. And Aldi and Tesco although we didn't actually spot where they were. Lidl definitely the nearest. We highly recommend Hillbrook House.

Right by the beach, lots of beach equipment for the children.. Probably the best equipped kitchen we have had in a self catering property. Lovely linen. Plenty of sitting space in various rooms. Stunning area with many places to visit. Great beaches and cliff walks.

We stayed at Hillbrook House, Nolton Haven. Before we arrived, the owner rang to confirm details / keys etc. She was absolutely lovely and could not have been more helpful and welcoming before we even got there! The house was perfect for our group - 10 girls on an adventure weekend. The kitchen and eating area was very well equipped with plenty of space. The wet room by the back door was a great idea. Being so close to the beach , it was ideal for keeping the sand and seawater contained rather than all over the house. The sitting room was perfect for everyone to sit around with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The walk up to the Druidstone Inn was perfect, a lovely walk on the way there early evening, and a most beneficial dose of 'fresh air' for the way back. A great stay - highly recommended.

We stayed at Hillbrook House for 3 nights over the new year weekend. We were a large group of 6 adults and 6 children ranging from age 7-12. We couldn't of wished to stay in a more perfect property, plenty of room for all of us, to stay and play together or find a quiet place to sit on your own. Lovely to find a box of treats on arrival along with a very helpful file full of helpful information about the property and things to do and places to eat. The property has 2 kitchens a main and one in the annexe, 2 lounges, handy for watching different TV channels, radio or playing games. The house is furnished to a very high standard, with plenty of storage and very comfy beds, along with little finishing touches that give it a bit extra e.g fully stocked games cupboard with board games, cards and pens and papers. Not to mention a bookcase with somthing for everyone...........I could see me choosing a book and walking the one minute to the beach to read in the summer! The property is right on the coastal path, we walked to New Gale and had drinks in the Duke of Edinburgh. A must do for everyone is to visit the Druidstone on the coastal path, an hours walk. An amazing welcoming atmosphere in quirky surroundings and delicious food. There is also a chinease takeaway that delivers to Hillbrook. We had good communication with the owner which was helpful. Hillbrook ticked all the boxes for us as a group of 3 families, and was an awesome start to 2017. I'm sure we'll be back, would love to visit in the summer. Many thanks to the owners

Nine of us stayed here, three generations, the house was ideal. Beautifully appointed with everything you need. The owners have gone to a lot trouble to present Hillbrook House to a very high standard. Beach is two minutes walk. Coastal path on door step.Coastal walk to Druidstone pub / restuarant a must ! Would love to return. Thank you very much. Ian & Sylvia

Upon arrival we found a well stocked welcome basket and ideas about things to do in the locality for all members of the large family group. The well presented cottage had a lovely welcoming feel and enough bedrooms to satisfy the needs of a large diverse family group. The downstairs was spacious enough to feel comfortable in each others company with areas to be alone. The kitchen was large and well stocked, we found everything we needed to prepare and cook the food. The bedrooms were spacious and very clean, everyone slept soundly. The annex was a god send for the family with a dog, she could join the group for cuddles and then find her own space to relax in. The beach was gently sloping and very child friendly, we all found it a great place to relax. Some of us stayed put, others went swimming, and the more adventurous were able to explore the rock pools or walk along the beautiful costal paths. The Mariners Arms pub which is next door is a treat to behold, the interior is one of the quirkiest we have seen, including the largest stuffed albatross in the bar area. The terrace was a great place to sit and watch the sunset.

The cottage is only 100 yards from the beach which can be seen from the front courtyard and upstairs bedroom. We spent a lot of time sitting outside watching the world go by and the trekking ponies. We have taken holiday accommodation in Pembrokeshire since 1992 and Hillbrook House is by far the best we have ever rented. Everything about it is to a very high standard and the compact yet spacious size makes it perfect for a large family party like we were. The well designed annexe attached to the main house provided a self-contained place for us oldies. There are enough rooms and sofas to spread out, the kitchen is large and very well equipped, with a dining room which is perfect for meals together for 12. There is enough cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils to make catering for so many very straightforward. The bedrooms are comfortable with sufficient storage, plentiful hot water and warmth throughout. A wonderful house, cannot praise it enough!

My mother booked Hillbrook House as a place for our extended family to stay for a week from which my husband and I and my brother and his family have returned today. My parents, cousin and his family remain and we are most jealous! The house was perfect for us all to get together and relax in. It is clean and comfortable, well designed, decorated, furnished, and equipped throughout. It is a house that is easy to be together with people in and it is equally as easy to separate yourselves away. My family would certainly recommend this house to any large family looking for a high quality place to see. The nearby Nolton Haven beach and the whole of the surrounding area - Druidston beach, Newgale beach, Solva, St David's and Broadhaven beach to name but a few - are jewels of Pembrokeshire and Hillbrook House provides this part of the county with a lovely base from which to explore these places. Two tips - take a hairdryer as one isn't provided and there is no shaver point so either take shaving foam and a Bic or grow a beard!

We had a wonderful stay in Hillbrook House. We were a party of 11 plus 2 dogs. With three lounges, and an annexe, there was plenty of space for everyone to relax. The house was very well appointed, spacious clean and beds very comfortable. The beach is a stones throw away, and the dogs had a fantastic time nipping down regularly for a run on the beach. Very handy having a pub next door, and the landlord was very accommodating catering for our party of 11. It is set in a fantastic location, with plenty of walks around. Having the garden opposite was a big bonus, and has a great view overlooking the beach. We would definitely love to return.

This is a beautifully presented cottage with everything you could possibly need to enjoy a break on the outstanding Pembrokeshire coast. The cottage is two minutes walk down to the shoreline. It has a very high standard of accommodation, decorated in a tasteful manner. It has all the mod cons you could need. Ideal for a small party like us as we were in the annexe section although we had full access to the whole house which is brilliant for a large family gathering. We were astounded at the quality and presentation of the accommodation and we can not wait to return with more of our family later in the year.

We have taken holiday accommodation in Pembrokeshire since 1992 and Hillbrook House is by far the best we have ever rented..

Absolutely stunning property in a beautiful location. Hillbrook House far exceeded our expectations and gave 11 of us (including 5 small children!) the chance to spend quality time together. I would thoroughly recommend this fabulous property to anyone and everyone. The owner of the property was also lovely and gave me lots of tips about the wider location and things to do. We are all looking forward to staying here again soon.

Pretty location near to the beach. House was clean and comfortable. Large dining table, good for our mob to all have meals around in one sitting. Access to coast path nearby which we enjoyed walking. We will be back! :)

Travelling for 7 hours with two small children was a challenge but Hillbrook House was well worth it. This spacious, well appointed and fabulously presented property was literally a stones throw from the beach and comfortably held 11 of us. We had the most wonderful short break and I would very highly recommend this rental to anyone and everyone. Thank you!!
