Nestled in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this 19th-century farmhouse has oodles of charm and sea views from the bedrooms. Flagstone floors, barn doors and a crackling AGA-style stove can all be found inside, making it a cosy place to retreat to after a busy day by the water. The aesthetic is warm and inviting, but there's a sprinkle of playfulness here, too – we especially love the furry blue footstool in the shape of a sheep. Keen chefs will love rustling up meals in the roomy, country-style kitchen. When it comes to mealtimes, you've got options. Settle down in the conservatory for a quick breakfast, tuck into a hearty feast around the rustic dining table, or on sunny days, take your fare onto the patio and enjoy it alfresco – be sure to keep an eye out for woodpeckers and robins that often perch on the bird feeder. When you're ready to explore, set off towards Amroth for local shops, pubs and the namesake beach or follow the coastal path towards Wisemans Bridge, Coppett Hall and Saundersfoot. Also rife for rambling is the National Trust owned-Colby Woodland Garden right across the way, while pastel-coloured Tenby, fifteen minutes by car, is always worth a day trip.

About Saundersfoot

This friendly seaside village is known for its lovely, wide sandy beach and shallow waters. It’s a big hit with families – especially those with young children – as it’s a bit more compact than its big sister Tenby. You can spend hours on the sand or try a spot of sailing, canoeing or windsurfing if you’re feeling adventurous. If you'd prefer a real captain at the helm, opt for...
