4 adults and 1 14yr old stayed in August. When you open the front door you are greeted with a smell!! The kitchen is extremely small as is the fridge freezer. The oven has trays in it that are not clean and the oven smells. The fridge hadn't been cleaned and the extractor over the hob was thick with grease. Lounge good size with attached conservatory. Main bedroom has a dreadful smell which I think is down to the bed, which has a foam topper which needs washing. Bed very uncomfortable and needs replacing. The twin room was OK but the bunk bed room is far too small. Bathroom: WHY would anyone put taps were you have to get into bath/showe? Hot water on a timer and not hot at 8am. The.bannister rail was very sticky when we arrived. To walk into Saundersfoot is down a very steep hill, the same coming back. You need to take your car. Only parking for 1 car. Wouldn't book again. Needs a thorough clean. 1 very important issue, when there are 5 of you you need a 2nd toilet.

Location was great, twice someone parked in our space which was allocated to our house.. Washing machine seem to be broken, was told it still works but you have to slam the door, still it was broken and not working at all, so that was a disappointment. The conservatory had cobwebs all over and very dirty, under the furniture. Back garden was covered in weeds. Bathroom upstairs no heating, so mould was starting to appear on the wall. Saw someone walking around the back of the house at night and left the back gate open. Overall the rest of the house was ok.

This house on arrival was extremely dirty, and needed sanitising, which amid Covid-19 is very disappointing! We were given many rules to follow because of this situation and I feel it’s very wrong to not keep the families who are staying in the houses safe too! My cloths came up absolutely black! The garden is very dilapidated and furniture was filthy. Pictures on website are old. The hot water is absolutely scalding, so be very careful with young children.

Driftwood House is a lovely place to stay located in a quite cul-de-sac and a short walk down to the harbour.. Ideally located for some great coastal walks or traveling further a field to explore south Wales. Val the house keeper lives nearby and is very friendly and helpful.

The kitchen was extremely well equipped.. Everything we could possibly need was there. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels supplied. The housekeeper, Val, lives nearby, and was very welcoming and helpful. She left milk and welshcakes for us on arrival, which was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend this property.

Very pleased on entering the property.. Spacious open plan living with plenty of seating and good sized kitchen area. The property was spotlessly clean. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes very much appreciated after our journey. Excellent outside amenities and with a secure garden ideal for our little dog. This is a property I would recommend to anyone.

The owners were lovely.. They tastefully decorated the house and also left a lovely welcoming hamper for us. The property was exceptionally clean and tidy and very well equipped. They stressed to us that we should ring them at any time if there were any problems. There were none. A beautiful house in a quiet but convenient location. The few neighbours we met were very friendly. A wonderful place to stay.

The main thing we liked about the property is that it was extremely clean, Val who looks after the house does a very good job.. She is also very helpful. The garden is enclosed so suitable for a dog although it could do with tidying. The lock on the rear door on the conservatory is extremely stiff I couldn't open it and had to get my husband to open it every time. There was also no instructions for the appliances and as they are all different it was a bit hit or miss we never did manage to get the tv downstairs working! The walk down to Saundersfoot is via a very steep hill. There are some lovely beaches and National Trust properties a short car drive away.

We booked this property over 12 months ago. We wanted to revisit the area again having holidayed here 25 years ago. Great walks down into the centre of Saundersfoot with the dog, but a bit of a pull & climb on the way back, with an agedly pooch in tow. Also a good base for Tenby, Pendine, Pembroke & St Davids. St Davids (smallest city in the UK), was the highlight. The property was lovely, with a sunny positioned sun lounge, where the dog could roam unhindered. We did have an problem initially with the shower, but after talking to the owners Paul & Teresa, this was sorted out. We would return!

We stayed at driftwood house for a week in February. Teresa sent all the information on how to collect the key from the key safe etc prior to our visit. The house is very well finished and clean and tidy inside. There is a dolce gusto coffee machine and pods as well as a pint of milk and some welsh cakes for that all important cuppa before you unpack. Thankfully there was tea towels supplied as we forgot ours! All the linens are clean and fresh and there are plenty of towels for all guests. Having a washing machine was a God send and we used it quite a few times during the week. The fridge freezer was a bit small but we managed and the kitchen has everything you need and more. We were happy that there was plenty of plates, cups and glasses as we've stayed in places where there are literally a plate / bowl / cup per person! The dishwasher was a Godsend and so was the slow cooker, it meant we could enjoy our time out and about exploring. There is a blue folder that has all information about things to do, recycling info, info for local places to visit, takeaway and restaurant / cafe menus and a copy of the info sent by email. The house is perfectly situated 1 mile from saundersfoot, it's literally down over the hill. There are some lovely shops, cafes, etc and a fantastic reptile experience place that we all loved. There's a coastal path that you can walk over to Wisemans bridge inn for a stroll and a pint, it's a about a mile each way. Tenby is about 2-3miles away and is beautiful. We saw buses running so you could always catch the bus if you wanted a break from driving. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our boys were gutted we had to leave. We will definitely be back!

This was ideal for us being a couple with a large dog.. If it was for a family, they would struggle with just one loo. Could consider putting an extra loo in the hall way. Other than that - the place was great - clean and well set up with everything you would need. Garden nice and good for dogs and children, Felt very homely - would recommend.

I was misled in the booking process.. I think the details will be logged. We did manage to sort it out with some compromise but it was inconvenient I have been on many good quality self catering holidays and so my comments are an informed comparison with other cottages and companies I have stayed with. The house itself was clean and warm. It was functional but didn't have any of the extras I would expect for the price we paid. Calling the house a cottage is misleading because the house is in a modern cul de sac of standard properties. My main complaint was the size of the third bedroom, about 6 by 5 foot with a bunk bed that took all the space. As the 5th single adult I had to sleep on the top bunk because my adult children were in couples and couldn't be expected to use that room. This needs to be made much clearer on the details and reflected in the price.Lots of small things; No bin liners, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets.Unclear rubbish disposal instructions. No details about local supermarket. Details all 2015. Home owner contacted me directly with a list of "rules" about 2 weeks before our visit. Some were irrelevant, like dog instructions. Also instructed us to strip the beds which I decided was unreasonable given the amount we were paying. The location was good although I was disappointed we didn't have sea view. I asked for a sea view on the Sykes cottage selection page The house is a 20 minute walk down/up hill into town which needs to be made clear. We did have a good holiday and I would return to Saundersfoot and Tenby. I would not go back to the house since I dont believe it was value for money.

The house was great, quiet, comfortable with great facilities.. Even the sharp kitchen knives were very sharp, something not often found in rental properties. Whilst the house is only .6 mile from the centre of Saundersfoot, it's a very steep hill to walk down and back up, so it meant that we used the car more often than we normally would like to. The house was very pet friendly with a good fenced garden for the dog to roam. The nearby presence of Val, the housekeeper was good and she was very helpful with local knowledge etc. All in all, a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful house.

Once we got over the initial rules for the cottage it was wonderful.. When I first read all the rules I thought I would not dare to breath in there. Just a little over the top on rules and regulations folks.

I liked how near the house was to the centre of Saundersfoot and that we could leave the car. Also that we could walk from the door to the coastal path and found lovely walks in both directions. The beaches were spotlessly clean as was the whole area in general. We loved the house, it was the perfect place to stay and we would not hesitate in booking again.
