We had an amazing holiday in this idyllic setting where time stood still.. The children had an amazing time crabbing from the quayside next to the cottage and exploring the woods over the stepping stones. The owners live next door and were extremely welcoming, giving us advice about interesting places to visit. Even the rain didn’t spoil things as we cosied up with the wood burner lit. We cannot wait to go back!

Rhian & Phil were so very welcoming and they had put together lots of excellent info in the cottage which was so helpful.. The cottage is beautifully decorated and everything is to hotel standard. It was so nice to sleep so well in a such a good quality bed and bedding. So often other holiday rents have been let down due to cheap beds and their after effects. We look forward to going back and have recommended the cottage to friends.

Laburnham Cottage is a dream place to stay.. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and really clean with a beautiful and ever-changing view of the creek. The local community is friendly and always willing to help and sitting outside the nearby Cresselly Arms on a warm sunny day, with a glass of wine or beer, is nothing short of perfection. My partner and I will definitely be going to Laburnham Cottage again.

Just spent a week in this delightful cosy cottage with everything you needed for a comfortable week away. Enjoyed watching the boats on the quey from our front garden and only a 2 minute walk to the local pub to sample their own brew. The owners Phil and Rhian and their gorgeous pooch Dizzy made us feel welcome on arrival and throughout our stay.

We have just come back from a week's stay at Laburnam cottage. The cottage is truly a home from home, with everything you could possibly require. It is a lovely cosy cottage, overlooking the estuary. There is a pub 2 mins walk away. It is ideally located for exploring that part of wales. The owners and their entertaining dog were very welcoming. The only disappointing thing for us, was when our holiday had to come to an end. Would highly recommend this cottage, if thinking of staying in the area.

The cottage was lovely and very well equipped, a last minute decision to take our grandchildren caused no problems and they were thrilled with being able to play with the owners dog or venture to the stepping stones on their own (still in our view from the quay or cottage. The quay was a delight, something going on most nights, from bar-b-ques to crabbing to Morris Dancing. One morning we even saw the local pack of hounds walk through. every one was friendly and there s plenty to see without travelling miles. The toll bridge at Pembroke Dock gives a stunning view. Carew castle and Mill well worth a visit. Pirates Café at Amroth for brilliant fish and chips to take away or eat in, small car park just round back is free.If you use big car park in Tenby don't waste time queueing for machines by entrance there are two more in top left hand corner and another over otherside (no one seemed aware of this). Area abit lacking in shops best we found was Co Op in Kilgetty, been there years and still as good. Folly Farm is brilliant for kids being farm animals and zoo and adventure playground, plenty of room to eat your own food as well (indoors and out). If you like nightlife this is not for your but if you want peace and quiet its brilliant like a step back in time. The owners are very friendly without making you feel uncomfortable and even offer a cooked evening meal if you want it.

The property was small but cosy and very suitable for a couple with two children (in bunk beds). The location in a small hamlet at the head of a tidal inlet was beautiful and it was centrally placed to make it easy to get to the coast and other very attractive countryside. There are plenty of walks nearby which our retriever enjoyed. The owners of the cottage live next door and were extremely friendly and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend it.

May 2014
The cottage location was much more central than we had realised and was quiet with wonderful views. Wales and the Welsh were welcoming and much happier than we remembered from previous holidays many years ago. The nearby beaches were spotless and well-maintained. The roads to various places were quiet and a pleasure to use.

Top quality in every respect...set in a wonderful setting the whole experience was a delight from start to finish. Delightful owners who live next door have the holiday cottage business down to a fine art...everything has been considered....we could not find anything which we thought had been missed or improved upon. The outdoor area is stunning...sitting overlooking the tidal river with the use of the barbecue,, glass of wine in hand was so relaxing and fascinating. Log burner, oceans of hot water, soft towels and beds you just won't want to get out of.....we do a lot of cooking and found everything we could ever need...all of an excellent quality.

We had a wonderfull short break in Laburnum cottage. The Cressely arms was open again, the weather was dry!, and there were so many interesting places to visit that we were spoilt and filled with indecision. The cottage was very comfortable and was a home from home kind of experience for us. Well equipped and well positioned, we could not ask for more. We will the back!.

Laburnam Cottage was very well equipped with wood burner (even firelighters and matches provided), very comfortable king-size bed with quality linen, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/drier and central heating - a home-from-home. Hosts, Rhian and Philip were most helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We both heartily recommend Laburnam Cottage as a peaceful, comfortable, welcoming escape.

The location is great, however the cottage smelt of damp and the wall in the very cramped, small bedroom, had a serious condensation problem. So much so that towels had to be put on the foot of the bed to catch the running drips. The radiator wasn't working either. On making the owners aware of the problem they fixed the radiator, were apologetic about the condensation but offered no solutions. They do have a B and B next door and could have offered a room until this was resolved. We left early on Tuesday morning because the damp was affecting our friends health. There were a lot of cobweb, very dark, around the walls and ceilings, some had obviously been there for some time. I sliced some bread on a slatted board and there were so many cobwebs that no crumbs hit the bottom of the board! The bathroom door would only stay closed if you locked it, the double bedroom door wouldn't close and you had to be some kind of strong man to open or close the front door. The fridge/freezer had not been turned on so nowhere to put the frozen foods I'd brought with me. It was totally defrosted with water in the bottom of the freezer section. A starter pack for the log burner was included - no fire lighters, no newspaper, no matches - and we don't smoke so couldn't light the fire until the following evening as we were aware that it was 8 miles to the nearest shop. This cottage, in my opinion, is cramped, except for the double bedroom. It is probably fine for two people in the summer. The house is damp. The wallpaper at the bottom of the stair is literally just hanging on the wall. It wobbles if you touch it. There is no way that this cottage deserves it's tourist rating. We were given a refund for the nights we didn't stay but as this was a birthday treat for my husband it was a spoiled gift. Sue Hazell

Super cottage and location. Beautiful views over the estuary. Quiet and plenty of walks nearby. Our first visit to Pembrokeshire and we never had any problems finding places to go and things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The beds were especially comfy.

The cottage was beautifully furnished and the kitchen well equipped. The main bedroom had stunning ever changing views across the estuary , the bed was so comfortable. The small bedroom was perfect for children and the bathroom was small but well designed. There were plenty of useful books and games. A perfect place to explore the stunning countryside. The owners lived next door and were able to provide information and advice. The pub just over the road was a great place to chill after a long walk and before our evening meal also a lovely way to meet the locals. All in all a perfect holiday destination .

This is one of the best holiday rents we have ever had. The cottage is superbly appointed, with everything one could want, and proved very comfortable for us. The location is quite stunning, overlooking the tidal river Cresswell, with constant changes in the river and much bird life. It is also easy to access the attractions of that part of Pembrokeshire from the cottage, and there are many attractions, from coastal walks and lovely beaches, to a host of historic towns and monuments. Good food is to be had nearby, and details are provided in the cottage. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The location was stunning, ever changing view, and just as described in the information provided on the booking site. The cottage was beautifully furnished, plenty of kitchen items. As the nights were just turning chilly the woodburner was a real bonus. Lots of helpful information provided so we could make the most of our time. The owners were extremely helpful when needed. A perfect base for a relaxing stress free holiday.

The cottage has beautiful views of the tidal river and is situated in a lovely peaceful hamlet. The location was in the perfect area for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire which was made better by being able to have both of our dogs with us. We had the best holiday here and will definitely be returning! I've already recommended it to family and friends!
