What a beautiful place to stay! The location felt rural, but just a small drive to all the shops and the harbour. Had some lovely little walks with all the family, inc, small children, dog and wheelchair user. The house was lovely. Roomy, spacious, plenty of storage, lovely en-suites, fantastic terrace with lovely views..would definitely book and stay again!!

Have stayed a few times at this property so was disappointed on this occasion.. Crockery and cutlery had remnants of dried food on them. Towels were tired and stained, pillows smelt damp and musty. A shame because the location is wonderful and the property is very spacious.

Firstly the weather was good.. Secondly the cottage exceeded expectations and was wonderful. And finally the location was a short drive to some brilliant beaches. In short we had a marvellous time and would definitely return.

Lovely holiday in a lovely cottage looking at booking along with next door cottage again next year.. Only criticism would be a lack of cupboard space for food storage in the kitchen.

Very good location for visiting beaches, castles, other places of interest.. Cottage comfortable and well equipped for cooking. Just a few niggles: Wifi intermittent but maybe location? When aiming to leave it clean there were no cleaning materials. Vacuum cleaner very inefficient. And instructions for leaving rubbish and recycling stuff not clear - we did not know that the 'Upper Car Park' was several houses away because we were only aware of ours and the adjoining one belonging to the same owners. However we enjoyed our 6 days in Goldfinch. Thank you.

The property was not worth the money I paid your info showed two patios with table and chairs we had one patio the other one was across car park and had bench table,on arrival which was after 3pm there was a guy there defrosting freezer, the property was not very clean on suite shower was leaking, the kitchen sink was rusty frying pans were awful welcome pack was a pint of milk and a small pack of welsh cakes, all in all not one of your best for the price..

The house was lovely, clean and had everything you needed.. It was really quite upmarket and we particularly enjoyed sitting out in the rear garden/yard just watching the ride come and go.

Generally all good - the cottage is in a great location for visiting South Pembrokeshire, is well-equipped and we enjoyed watching the pattern of the tide changing.. However the sofas were not very comfortable, the silver shiny outdoor furniture was impactical in the wonderful sunshine (!), next door's cigarette smoke infiltrated our space inside and out, the folder of info was clearly from 2012 and not up-dated, etc - little niggles but.....

The owners could do replace some of the cooking pots..

The location was superb and the cottage had excellent facilities and is really well looked after..

The experience that we had not only with booking this holiday but also on arrival and the saga to get beds linked together (something that is offered) I won’t be using Sykes again.. I found the Customer Service dept utterly useless. With regard to the cottage ; it is reasonably clean, in a lovely setting. I would go back but, not with Sykes.

The cottage was beautiful and very well equipped (couldn't find an ice cube tray and an extra saucepan would be good though) It was generally well stocked and clean but the laminate flooring does show up dust under furniture.. The direct access to shingle beach isn't really a feature worth shouting about unless you like mud I'm afraid. The little Xmas touches were wonderful. Easy access to property on the day of arrival, great parking spaces. Thank you

The only thing I would recommend is that the owners consider installing a larger TV.. Apart from that one of the best properties we have stayed in.

Although only a mile outside Milford Haven, it seemed that the house was far more remote, Set on the banks of the estuary with the patio actually sitting on the edge it was a truly stunning setting. Staying there with two friends on a walking and bird watching holiday the only issue was deciding who had the two bedrooms overlooking the estuary, the third (rear bedroom) had a lovely woodland view. The location was ideal for our needs and we had quick access to the stunning Pembroke shire coast we would certainly recommend the boat trip to Skomer. The house was not the cheapest we have stopped in but was very well finished and had everything we could possibly want and certainly very good value for money. The only criticism would be that we did not find a decent pub in a walk-able distance, however had the weather been slightly warmer we would have been more than happy sitting on the patio with a bottle of wine.

Despite being close to Milford Haven the location is very peaceful. It was wonderful to sit and watch the various water birds on the tidal waterway. A good location to explore the wider area and what child wouldn't enjoy the chance to go crabbing straight off your own terrace?
Mrs Townsend

Goldfinch is a very comfortable, well appointed, spacious, warm and light house. We enjoyed our week there. We found plenty of places to visit near by, including the delightful woods close to the house - great for children and dogs too. Also, the Yacht Marina at Neyland which has a lovely wildlife reserve with easy walking on a cycle/footpath, which passes between a succession of lakes. Access it at the far end of the marina.
