Property Description

For those looking to get away from it all and enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of the countryside, then this hideaway offers the perfect retreat. The barn is set within its own grounds offering uninterrupted views across the three peaks of The Sugar Loaf, Skirrid and Blorenge. Step inside and admire the interiors which have been carefully finished using historic items from the farm to give you a real taste of the history of this 16th century farm. The space is open plan, enabling you to enjoy the rugged landscape and views from the bi folding doors that front the barn. Open the bi folding doors onto a terrace, a perfect space for relaxing, dining and gazing up at the dark skies. There is a wood fired jacuzzi hot tub and fire pit for you to make the most of the stunning views and dark skies. Sit back and enjoy the views from the comfort of the double bed or the seating areas, and when the day is done enjoy a film on the 50inch TV. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The kitchen meets with all your cooking needs, and even includes a bean to cup coffee machine to enjoy in the morning, while taking in the view. A breakfast bar has been uniquely carved for you to enjoy a meal on one of the bar stools. There is a shower room with a walk in rainfall shower and WC, along with a utility cupboard with a washing machine. Even your dog can enjoy some luxury with its very own whiskey barrel bed equipped with a comfy mattress inside. This scenic location offers a wealth of walking from the front door. From the grounds of the farm, you can access Blaenavon Common where you can enjoy views across the Brecon Beacons and Malvern Hills. This is a great place to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, with attractions all around, including The Big Pit at Blaenavon (6 miles), Brecon Mountain Railway (22 miles) and Zip World Tower (31 miles). For walkers that want to explore the area further, you can enjoy the Skirrid, Blorenge and Sugar Loaf Mountains (the Abergavenny three peak challenge), or venture a little further to Pen y Fan (32 miles). There is off road parking for two vehicles right outside the main door, as well as safe storage for bikes on site.
