Area
On the southwest part of the Isle of Anglesey, a little village called Niwbwrch was established in the 13th century. The community is today most known for having one of the biggest sand dune systems in the British Isles as well as Niwbwrch Forest, which has 2000 acres of land and is recognised as one of the most significant red squirrel conservation sites in the UK. There are additional ruins of a pre-Edwardian communal court at Llys Rhosyr, which likewise has stunning views over mainland Wales and the Snowdonia National Park. After touring the neighbourhood, be sure to refuel at The White Lion, a canine-friendly restaurant providing tasty pub fare and ales. The historical sites of Eglwys Santes Dwynwen and Goleudy Twr Bach are also close by, as are the golden sands of Treath Llanddwyn beach. Additionally, Niwbwrch is close to Snowdonia National Park, which offers a variety of treks and trails, and Bangor.
