Holiday home Built into the cliff-side, and overhanging the water at high tide, staying in Manadwyn holiday house feels like setting sail on a ship. Virtually all the windows look out to sea and you will be mesmerised by the ever changing views of the moving tides and wildlife throughout the day.
The hub of this open plan family space is the sitting room which is on the middle floor. Here you can sink into the sofas, light the log burner, gaze out to the famous Menai Strait and keep tabs on the boats bobbing up and down on this unique waterway.
The kitchen is to the side of the sitting room and has a super little dining area and breakfast bar with a big window.Above the sitting room are two double bedrooms with king size beds, one with sliding glass doors opening out onto the terrace.
Between the two double bedrooms there is a family bathroom with loo, hand basin and bath with shower over. On the bottom floor are two further bedrooms. One a twin with bunk beds suitable for children 12 years and under. It is painted in bright colours, furnished with bean bags and a TV. PLEASE NOTE: The bunk beds are not normally made up and need to be requested when booking. The final room has a standard double bed. The bed is placed so you can turn your head on your pillow and look out to the water.
The lower floor has a compact shower room (restricted height) with a micro bath with a shower over, loo and corner wash basin.
Outside the sitting room and master bedroom is a balcony with bench seating. A staircase leads up to a roof terrace with table and chairs and spectacular views of the Menai Strait.
There is parking for one car at the property. Additional parking can be found further along the lane that leads under the Menai Suspension Bridge.
There is no place I would rather be than sitting on the balcony or roof terrace with my coffee, watching the oyster-catchers dip in and out of the glistening flecks of the sea against the backdrop of the spectacular Britannia Bridge.
You could even arrange for our friends at Rib Ride Boat Trips to pick you up and run you and your guests down to the Gazelle or Dylan's Restaurant in Menai Bridge, before heading off to Puffin Island to watch the seals.

This cottage is spectacular and clean, boasting gorgeous views. The furniture is modern, yet comfortable and it suits the rich history of this building. The kitchen is well stocked, and the bedrooms have lovely decorations and views of the supprisingly turquoise menai straight. The beds are comfortable, with a generous amount of pillows.
To summarise, Manadwyn is an amazing property, with unbeatable views of the two 19th century bridges, and it is truly a one of a kind building.

Cannot beat this location. It is amazing. Menai bridge is stunning area with everything on your doorstep. Beautiful walks along the straits and over to church Island.
This cottage is in the perfect location but it seems the owners are sitting back on this property and not giving it the TLC it needs.
Sadly Sykes Cottages have taken over this change and they are awful to deal with. Menai holidays did help with fixing the broken shower head, TV reception which did not work during our stay but a complaint we had on leaving when we found blood on the matress protector and the disgusting state of the duvet when changing the beds had been ignored as the owners do not wish to look into it.
I will never book with this company again as there are much better customer service on Anglesey.
Such a shame as this is such a lovely place.

The only real ' downside ' to this property is the ' bathroom ' on the lower level, but the location of Manadwyn makes up for it ..
