The cottage and the surrounding area is stunning.. .

We enjoyed the homely but holidayish feel that has been achieved with this cottage.. -We were very pleasantly surprised at having such good views. The location was better than anticipated, too. Thanks for warnings, but bedroom ceiling heights did not prove a problem, and neither did "steep stairs", as they are quite enclosed making them safer.Cottage was warm & comfortable.Showers were efficient(although drainage proved a tad slow to clear at times). Sunroom is brilliant (especially for watching thunder-storms over Snowdonia!)Turning space for car was a little tight, but it was good to have it so conveniently close on site.

Great little cottage however smaller than it looks on the photos, especially the bedrooms which had low ceilings and you had to duck down.. Everything was provided for our stay and the summer house was great to sit in at night. The driveway is difficult to manoeuvre as it is a steep slope. (We scratched our car on the wall). Would definitely stay again though as the views were amazing and it is so quiet and peaceful.

Absolutely beautiful place and an absolutely beautiful little cottage, our 15yr old totally enjoyed his little bit of peace haven in the garden sun room.. We would definitely return and recommend it to friends and family, fishing and the costal walks are a must if you enjoy doing it. Thank you Gill and Sykes for a fantastic week away.

Loved the cottage , unfortunately my husband slipped on the gritty slope outside of the gate within half an hour of arriving and sprained his ankle badly.. Luckily we were able to have variety while unable to walk as we had the cottage and the sunhouse and the pretty garden , we slept in the sunhouse on the convertible settee because my husband couldn’t use the stairs which was another bonus especially as it had its own Loo and shower. The cottage has fantastic views and is very close to Beaumaris. A good selection of DVD’s kept us entertained at nighttime . Lovely and peaceful , all you can hear is nature. Would definately recommend but please be careful on the slope down to the road .

The cottage is in a wonderful location for those who like peace and quiet ,amazing views beautiful walks.. It is cosy and comfortable although access to the eaves bedrooms would be difficult for some, as would the general lack of head height in the bedrooms .We hope to return next year.

Brilliant location with stunning views great base to explore the island from.. Older children maybe disappointed as no Wi-fi. Also I know this is an older property but cleaner needs to concentrate more on the cobwebs. Also sapling growing out of kitchen sink. Hard to tell from photos of property the beds are not proper beds with a base unit, basically mattress on the floor, although they were comfy less mobile may find difficult to get up and out of bed. Great place if you love quirky older properties and getting away from it all. Perfect to sit and read in piece and quiet curled up in front of the fire after a great day exploring

Fantastic spot for piece and quiet.. A very small quiet nature reserve at back of the cottage for early morning walks with the dog only ever met one dog walker once. The sun room is fantastic giving lovely views down to the sea where we also watched the harvest moon rise and a couple of sun rises, gorgeous. The cottage is cosy and comfortable. Limited headroom in the bedrooms so watch your heads clunked mine a couple of times lol. Just a few mins drive to Beumaris where you can anything you need or forgot. Lovely best holiday in a long time and Luna the dog LOVED it.

The cottage was hard to find particularly in the dark when my son and girlfriend arrived, This was however made up for when waking up and seeing the views.. the lodge was outstanding for the 2 of them and the cottage roomy enough for myself and my other son to sleep and all 4 of us to eat and relax. The gardens were I think outstanding in character with views of the sea and mountains from the front. Through the back gate led to nature reserves and open countryside. Overall a great cottage . The only drawback was I didnt have a large enough pan to do a single meal for all of us. Not a criticism but a suggestion. It is also close enough to snowdonia to get there within 30 minutes.

Loved the location - good for staying on Anglesey or going back to the mainland.. Headroom in the bedrooms was a bit restricted (and we are not tall). The open fire was a nice feature and was enough to take the chill off in the evenings. The initial driveway up to the cottage is a bit tricky due to a loose, uneven surface and you need to take a run at it to avoid getting wheelspin or stalling. On Thursday we came back to find several bits of dog mess near the front door and were lucky to spot it before it got walked inside. The gardener comes that day and whether they let a dog run loose while they are working I wouldn't like to say. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and the only thing that might put us off returning was the bedrooms, but that said we could always use the summer house which is well equipped and we didn't really make enough use of.

I've just returned from a weeks break in this little cottage. I contacted the rental company prior to this due to a previous comment made re the bedrooms. I was assured that the beds were not pieces of foam and following a previous complaint the mattress foam topper had been removed. We found the cottage exactly as described. The house is heated by electric convector heaters and the open fire. Like most rural old cottages, it was cold on arrival but soon warmed up. The stairs are narrow and steep leading either side to bedrooms in the eaves. The beds were proper mattresses upon futon bases. The ceilings are so low you couldn't put a full height bed up there. The beds were firm but comfortable and I'm used to sleeping on a deep memory foam mattress, but I slept well. I struggled with my arthritis getting up from the floor level. We found the description provided to be accurate. The summer house would be a bonus in summer. It would be tight to sit 6 around the table. We paid under £300 for a week and it was good value for money. The only advice is don't buy fuel at Waitrose or the petrol station. The little village shop sells logs and coal at half the cost. Great walks and views

I stayed here with my family and the cottage and sun room were clean and the kitchen well stocked. Ideal for visiting the island and great views.. my issues are that it states 2 double bedrooms for 4 people then goes on to say it will sleep 6 people. the dining table has 4 chairs. My problem was that is does not tell you that the main bed is a matress (5 Ins deep) on the floor. The second double bed is 2 x 1 inch thick peices of foam on pallets. plus there was a fold up camp bed in the room. My grandchildren could not sleep on the foam bed and they both went home after 4 days. I slept on the single camp bed and stayed for the 7 days, just because I had paid for them.... I would expect this if I was camping but not for nearly £500.00 Also, there was no starter pack of wood, my family arrived at 11pm because of accidents on the motorway, I had to go down on the road with a torch to look for them as there was no signage to the cottage... please take your own teatowels as well because none were provided. Although I was give £50 off the price after complaining, it does not make up for missing special times with my family as I am 70 years old.
