Mr Taylor

Have stayed here before.. Love the house, love the village. Great base for the island.
Mrs Stanton
September 2020
The house was well presented, spacious and clean.. We were very comfortable and found the house to be well equipped and positioned for us to explore Cemaes and surrounding areas. We would definitely consider booking again, once all the Covid restrictions have been lifted.
Mrs Ellmore, August 2019
August 2019
The house is spacious and in a good location, close to the town and beach.. However, it is clear that the house needs some attention as there were quite a few faults that should be fixed i.e.door handles falling off, issue with the downstairs bath that had been fixed with tape, kitchen cupboards which did not close. The matresses are not comfortable and very noisy with springs sticking through. Hardly any glasses to use, so we bought plastic cups locally. It is a shame as with some attention and TLC this could be a great holiday home, without this we would not stay here again.

Complained to Sykes over the phone about the inaccuracy of the listing, especially the lack of cleanliness of the property and after the shower falling apart in my daughter's hand.. I sent two emails whilst away, including photos and have yet to hear anything back from Sykes despite their 72 hour response, that's a joke. Will not be using Sykes again and cannot recommend them.

This looked like a lovely modern place but sadly even though there have been plenty of feedback regarding the faults in this accommodation the owner has not tried to rectify them .. The bed mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and gave us bad backs .The bedding is well used and old .The carpets upstairs were well warn and smelt of stale dog .The information pack is out of date .The neighbour is extremely helpful and managed to sort out a bathroom light for us .

Lovely well equipped house in good location. Just 5 minutes walk from beach, shops, children’s play park and river walk. Good choice for those with young children as equipped with travel cot( take your own mattress as supplied one is thin) and high chair.
Mrs Cotton, June 2019

· The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac within easy walking distance (for able-bodied people) of the lovely village, beach and harbour.. There is a lot of space in the house and garden, the rooms are a good size, two bathrooms is a plus with loads of (very) hot water and overall the property was very clean and well equipped. TV and wi-fi worked well when we figured them out and we even got the dishwasher to work when we realised the plug socket was at fault and used an extension lead to another socket. · The beds and duvets weren't the best - the mattresses and pillows are well past their use-by date. The curtains are much too thin for a well lit area - we had to rig up blackouts using the two black fleeces provided. Not having cot bedding and towels provided is a pain (though there is now an almost new cot sheet as we forgot to bring it home!).

Some areas could do with a little update and repairs.. Overall enjoyed our stay in the holiday cottage especially our grandchildren.

Bedrooms need blackout blinds, the outside looks a bit neglected, nothing like the photo.. However all that the property needs is a little TLC because it’s spacious and well situated for the village and the coastal path, which was perfect for us.

November 2018
Insufficient insulation in the roof of the dormer style house, meant that the bedrooms upstairs remained extremely cold.. The bedding in the bedrooms could not be aired, to allow a comfortable rest even though the heating was on for several hours. We would like to point out that in our own home we don't heat the bedrooms, but in this property the small bedroom radiators were fully open all the time with little or no effect! On our arrival the property was freezing, and all the bedding was creased and crumpled as if not been laundered. We managed to operate the FREESAT box not SKY as in the listings, also there is NO DVD player as in the listings! During the winter months it very inconvenient to have to go outside to the garage to access the central heating and water controls (that are on the boiler).

October 2018
Before our departure the owner text to say that a new television had been installed, and we understood that all would be in order apart from Sky TV programmes.. On arrival we found the new tv would not work. A telephone call to the owner in Manchester, did not resolve the situation for our 3 night break. This was very inconvenient as the weather turned out to be very wet and a tv would have been good. Apart from this, we found the house to be spacious and could easily accommodate three couples. It is conveniently located, a short easy walk into the centre of the village.

Excellent Location, roomy and plenty of Space, A little tired but only to be expected with a rental property.. One point the front door lock / handle is very temperamental and looks and feels like it is about to break any minute may need attention before someone get's locked out. Otherwise a very pleasant stay and would definitely return to a lovely area.

We had a lovely time the place was well situated for all amenities.. But the property had some small issues. Broken door handles or missing. The double bed in the family room needs a mattress up date I ended up sleeping on an air bed as so uncomfortably.

The upstairs shower leaks down into the hall light fitting.. When i contacted the landlord he said to point the shower away from the shower doors. We did this but it made not difference. We had to keep the kitchen bowl on the hall floor.

The house was really lovely, clean, nicely furnished, modern and spacious. Close enough to the high street with shops, a couple of pubs and beach, all a 5-10 minute stroll away. Located in a quiet tranquil area. A very relaxing, get-away from it all place to stay. The fact our four-legged friend could stay too was an added bonus.

The week we spent here (4 adults & 2 children) was nice but not outstanding. Location ok but so far from other attractions that long day to visit anywhere. Cottage itself was nice although took us a while to locate the key safe as no details of it's location had been given. Lots of appliances but oven did not work and we had to grill everything and kettle leaked. This may be fixed now though as I left caretaker a note. Owner is not local so may not be regularly checked. If you want a quiet cosey week then this is the place but if you have children and you need to keep them interested on none beach days somewhere closer to the mainland would be better.

A very pretty house, in a peaceful location. An easy 5 minute walk to the beach, through the village which is well served by baker, butcher greengrocer etc. An enclosed rear garden made a safe play area and the house layout suited us well (grandparents downstairs for peace and quiet, parents and toddler upstairs) All rooms were spacious and bright, which made it all the more surprising that there were no wardrobes or hanging hooks in either of the two upstairs doubles...? Similarly, the kitchen was not brilliantly equipped with no baking trays or pans, which was a shame given the great local produce so readily available. And a tea towel wouldn't be too much to expect...? However, these are minor things, easily corrected. All in all this house represents great value for money, peaceful, picturesque and a good location for beautiful beaches and stunning coastal paths.

Having previously had many caravan holidays, we really appreciated the space and luxury the accommodation offered. The countryside around this part of Anglesey is nothing short of spectacular. We seemed to find a 'private' beach almost every day. So so beautiful. The butcher in the village sells the most wonderful meat. PS try the pies!!!!

What a lovely place to stay - everything you needed was in the house and the location was great. First visit to Anglesey and we will certainly be back - hopefully in this house. Toys and DVDs were there to be used but we had good weather so didn't need them, there was also loads of info about the surrounding area. The only downside they were still working on the development when we were there but they should be finished by now
