Nestled in the quaint Welsh village of Trefor in Gwynedd, is this superb semi-detached house, Mor a Mynydd.

Enjoying a wonderful coastal location with easy access to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Mor a Mynydd is a fantastic family-friendly dwelling for six to explore the beauty of North Wales.

Park-up in one of two off-road parking spaces, before stepping into the sitting room where you can kick-back and relax in front of the Smart TV after your journey, as the woodburning stove crackles nearby.

If the little ones fancy reign over the TV, they can enjoy their shows in the conservatory with its own TV, so there will be no fighting for the remote!

Mouth-watering meals can be rustled up in the fully-equipped kitchen/diner, featuring a handy dishwasher, ready to be enjoyed at the dining table for six.

Just off the kitchen, you will find a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a ground-floor shower room, perfect for washing off sandy toes.

Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can choose from three well-appointed bedrooms, two doubles and a twin.

Wake-up tired eyes with a refreshing shower or soak in the bath, before savouring your morning coffee out in the enclosed garden, as the children enjoy the delights of the climbing frame.

Explore the local village, which is surrounded by mountains, where you will find a well-stocked convenience store for stocking up on any last-minute essentials.

Venture down to the beach which rests on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula, here you can soak up the harbour views with a stroll along the breakwater pier or beachcombe the sheltered sandy beach, keen walkers can also join the Wales Coastal Path from here, which offers some of the best views and scenery in the area.

Be sure to hike up the imposing Yr Eifl where you will find the Iron Age Hill Fort of Tre’r Ceiri, offering exceptional views at its top.

Head to the small town of Nefyn, home to its own two-mile stretch of sandy beach as well as the Llyn Maritime Museum housed in a church and an award-winning golf club, sure to entice any keen putters.

Explore the coast where you will find the popular destinations of Abersoch, Pwhelli and Cricceth where you can sample fresh seafood or try your hand at a wealth of watersports and fishing, or if that isn’t your thing, venture into the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park where you can climb the famous Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Peak, head underground at Zip World, or visit the World Heritage Site of Dinorwic Quarry.

TREFOR

Nefyn 7.5 miles; Abersoch 15.4 miles; Portmeirion 20 miles; Bangor 22 miles.

The small village of Trefor is surrounded by sea and mountains, overlooking Caernarfon Bay, and enjoys a harbour with stone breakwater pier and sheltered sandy beach that the Wales Coastal Path runs past, or the more adventurous can enjoy a regular surf outside the breakwater. The village benefits from a convenience store, Post Office and licensed social club. Nearby, in the village of Llithfaen, are the Welsh Language and Heritage Centre and restaurant. The pretty coastal town of Nefyn lies 7.5 miles away, sitting atop sweeping cliffs, and is home to a fine, two-mile stretch of sandy beach, along with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and the award-winning golf club is popular with families and couples alike. Trefor is also within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli, Abersoch, Caernarfon, Portmeirion and Bangor. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and watersports are all available. The start of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is 5 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and abundance of superb walks. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, this area makes a superb base for a break in North Wales.
