Holiday Rental Description

If you are looking for an unforgettable property to come together with your nearest and dearest then look no further, this is perfect for families and friends wanting a special holiday on the coastal side of Snowdonia National Park. Situated on the edge of the small village of Talsarnau, overlooking the Dwyryd estuary, this property is a 19th century manor house built by sea captain Lewis Holland Thomas. Where the Captain would once watch ships heading into the bustling port of Porthmadog, you can gaze across the now peaceful waters towards Portmeirion, the Italianate architectural masterpiece of Clough Williams Ellis. Just four miles away is Harlech with its famous cliff top 13th century castle, Royal Saint David s Golf Course and miles of beautiful dune fringed beaches. Around six miles away is Porthmadog, which has a marina, a range of shops from supermarkets to small independent shops, restaurants and waterside views. Take a trip on one of the three heritage railways that service Porthmadog, taking in the scenic mountain views along the line to Caernarfon or marvel at the scale of the slate industry that has left its mark on Blaenau Ffestiniog. Step through the grand entrance hall and wander through to the lounge with a huge bay window offering stunning views, a wood burner, comfortable sofa seating and a smart TV. Come together in the snug area for pre dinner drinks and admire the far reaching views across the estuary or the original stained glass window. The kitchen is the heart of the home and offers everything you need to rustle up a special celebration meal for loved ones, with a nearby dining table with seating for 18. Head down to the cinema room with wall mounted 75 cinema TV and comfy cinema seating to enjoy a good film. Or, connect your games console to the large screen in the gaming area and sit back and relax on the beanbags, the dream teenage hang out. For more entertainment, head to the renovated outbuildings to play a game of pool at the full sized pool table. There is a conservatory with seating which overlooks the patio, a quiet spot to sit and curl up with a good book. On the ground floor is the impressive master bedroom with Ambassador sized four poster bed and en suite shower room. There is a further ground floor bedroom with zip and link kingsize bed and en suite shower room. There are also two WCs on the ground floor. Venture up the impressive staircase overlooked by a beautiful stained glass window to explore the bedrooms. There are seven bedrooms on the first floor, styled to perfection with beautiful colour schemes and matching soft furnishings, all with en suite bath or shower rooms. All offer peaceful relaxation in this sleepy part of North Wales, some with stunning views out over the estuary. What really sets this property apart is the luxurious private spa area offering a sunken indoor swim spa with seating for 12; a sauna, and steam room, all clad in beautiful Carrara marble and featuring engraved Italian floor tiles. Easy to operate and set up for your convenience with changing rooms, loungers and showers, there is no need to venture further for a restorative spa experience. Outside in the rear courtyard there is a further hot tub, barbecue and seating. The patio continues round to the front of the hall, with picnic tables overlooking the estuary towards Portmeirion, making the most of those estuary and countryside views.
