Whilst the cottage is well located and the beds are comfortable, the house was left unclean and in a poor state of repair to the point of being potentially dangerous. Issues: - Surfaces dirty and greasy, crumbs on counter top, fridge etc, rotten and out of date food in the fridge and cupboards. - Bathroom grubby and cobwebby. In the middle of a pandemic 1 small old piece of bar soap left in the bathroom, with someone's public hair attached. - Loo and sink leaking over floor from base/piping, and loo also not attached to the wall so it lurches badly when you sit on it. - Kettle leaks. Oven tray visibly dirty and needed thorough cleaning before use. - Outside kitchen/bathroom other rooms looked in a better state, but finding, in the summer, Christmas decorations and nuts (hazard for children and nut allergic) lying under the coffee table etc doesn't exactly suggest it has been cleaned properly.

Excellent ac omodation and great location.. Only issue is if you have a big car the streets are narrow and full of cars so its hard to negotiate.

A bit of a shame, as we had booked here in 2019 as well, and had planned on booking for 2021 already, but when me mentioned to the landlord that the cottage next door was a veritable building site, with work starting daily at 8.. 30 am (mostly drilling, grinding, and breaking up concrete), he has not responded in any way that would reassure us that next year might be better, having already paid more this year than last. Compounding the issue was the fact that the roads outside and surrounding the cottage were also being worked on, so even if we tried to get out ahead of the drilling, we were stuck waiting for lorries to unload a couple of streets over for up to 40 mins. We won't be staying there again, although we will be back in Snowdonia next year for some winter season mountains.

Lovely Christmas at this cottage in Llanberis.. They even put a Xmas tree up for us. Brilliant location for Snowdon and walks etc. Clean and tidy. Very warm and a cozy log burner. Had everything we needed.

We couldn't work out how to get the shower to work the mixer knob seemed to be jammed but as it was a lovely big bath we were not too concerned.. Could be a few more utensils in the kitchen. Deeper dishes for soup and cereals would be a bonus the ones there are a bit shallow. Some measuring jugs, a whisk and some medium sized tumblers would also be nice. The beds were not terribly comfy for me personally as I have Arthritis and find a higher bed with a more supportive mattress more comfortable and easier to get in and out of. Beds with wooden slats under the mattress tend not to be as comfy as divans and also tend to creak a lot. Otherwise the house was lovely, very clean and comfy perfect location and we really enjoyed our holiday. The above are just little things that we noticed, nothing that stopped us having a great time.

This is a lovely cottage located within the village so very close to all amenities and the foot of Snowdon is practically on your doorstep. A warm welcome with milk and Welsh cakes waiting in the fridge. Cannot fault the accomodation itself at all but the deck is so small it is unusable and if no benefit if you are a pet owner. However lots of walks for the hounds close by. Parking could also be an issue but we found a spot close by and did not have to use the car throughout our stay. I would recommend though and look forward to using again next time I need a Snowdon base.

A nice property with a lovely welcome of milk and Welsh cakes ( + goody bag for dogs) but with hit or miss parking and no garden for those that take pets.. I would recommend though for easy access to Snowdon with all the village amenities within very close walk.

This is a gorgeous cottage set in a quiet street.. The cottage was more spacious than we expected and beautifully furnished. We were surprised and grateful for all the welcoming touches. The village had everything we needed, a well stocked shop and great take-always, and is an excellent location to use as a base for visiting the local area. I was pleasantly surprised during an evening stroll to come across a magnificent waterfall at the end of the village. I would love to return!

Lovely location, and very nice cottage.. The only issue was the parking wardens, but that is not the fault of Sykes nor of the cottage owner. Thank you.

Lovely terraced house within easy walking distance to Llanberis centre and bus stop.. The place was very clean and tidy. Loose skirting board in the bathroom and a loose tile in the kitchen. Creaky floorboards upstairs. Otherwise faultless and these are minor observations. Recommended. Would go back although the cost for a long weekend out of season seemed a little on the expensive side.

The problem with this property were just lots of little things, adding up to a point where I now can't trust the standard of a property on the Sykes website.. 1. No shaver socket in the bathroom. To me this is a standard item in a bathroom, NOT an optional extra! 2. Although the place was generally clean, the kitchen items that we used needed cleaning. The things we didn't use still needed cleaning when we left. (We only cleaned what we intended to use. ) Examples : tea stains in the mugs, grease on the baking trays and inside the the oven was bad... 3. Bed mattress was too thin. I am olly 80 Kg, but I was basically sleeping on the bed slats. 4. Configuration was not really suitable for 4 adults. To get to the bathroom you had to go downstairs, through the lounge, and kitchen and rear porch. Maybe the bathroom and smaller room on first floor should be swapped. 4. There was a decked area out the back, BUT it was so small I don't think it counts as a patio /garden area! 5. Neighbours unfriendly, They wouldn't let us unload from their parking space!

We stayed at the house Friday and Saturday night as we were climbing Snowdon for a charity event on the Saturday.. The house was lovely and clean and well equipped. There was a group of 5 of us and it was perfect. The view from the back was amazing . Only downside was parking which was to be expected in a village .

The house was comfortable, clean, in a great location and we had a very enjoyable holiday, despite the weather! The house had a problem with heating that we were aware just beforehand but seemed to have been commented on before by others. Despite that, no action had been taken. There were a few items missing that would have been useful to have-salad bowl, cleaning products etc-but otherwise it was well stocked and had everything we needed. Would recommend, but please fix the boiler!

The heating did not work.. Freezing when we arrived and at times throughout. We had to unscrew a panel to reveal the switch and turn the boiler off and on again to make it work. The bathroom was dirty. No toilet brush or bath mat. They texted to say that a plumber was coming at seven in the evening and asked if that is ok. I replied no, as we would be having our dinner at that time. They did not reply. The plumber turned up as I was making the dinner. He did not fix it. We did not hear from the owners again. Very disappointed with the experience. I think you should investigate this so other customers have a better experience.

We booked this cottage as we wanted to stay close to Llanberis. 5 mins walk and you are on the main street. Good selection of shops and places to eat. The main room is spacious and the bedrooms aren't a bad size. There are 3 bedrooms with two having double beds and then a single in the third. Maybe an issue if you had children. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. There was enough tea, coffee and milk cups to make a cuppa when you arrive. The decking area would be a squeeze if you wanted to use it. The heating seems to be a bit erratic and we just resorted to turning it on and off when required instead of leaving it on automatic which the owners requested. The bathroom is in need of a good scrub and the bath panel needs replacing. You will need to take basics such as toilet roll, kitchen roll, bin bags and washing up liquid. We received 1 toilet roll, 1 bin bag and 1 wash cloth as a welcome pack. Wasn't happy to find left over food in the freezer, bottles of dilute pop and some cereal when we arrived. I feel that the owners should have removed these but maybe some people don't have an issue with this.

Could not fault either the accommodation or the location. With the added benefit of allowing dogs we had an excellent holiday.
