Our cottage was comfortable and clean.. Because of covid it was plainer than it might have been, in that they had been advised to take out ornaments, but it still felt homely. We did have an issue with WIFI but the owners living just next door was very handy for sorting out problems and they made a very big effort to help us. BT came round and after their second visit we were able to use our devices to look at google maps and so on. However, because of where the cottage is situated, in a beautiful area surrounded by hills and mountains, it will never be 100% reliable or fast, so if you are thinking of doing work away from home this might not be the place, although it was fine if you just wanted a bit of information now and then or to email people. Also, it would be worth checking whether your phone would receive any signal there as we got none using ours (vodaphone). The owner very kindly lent us a landline phone for incoming calls so that our older daughter could call us from home if she had any problems. They really did all they could to problem solve and be helpful, it's just that you need to be aware that because of where you will be situated, it's just the way things are. You could even see it as a bonus if you want to have a break from constant interruptions or from your devices (some of which worked better than others. My husband's tablet worked better than my laptop for some reason) or if you want to encourage your children to have a bit of a break from them. As long as you have a car it's a perfect place to explore all the wonderful walks and interesting places around and about (Torrent Walk, the Old and New Precipice Walks, The Centre for Alternative Technology, the Iron Age hill fort at Tre'r Ceiri and so on). Even though it's a working farm it's very peaceful and we were never woken up early. The only real noise was the beautiful sound of the stream gushing past (quite fast and deep after rain, so watch out if you have little ones) and it was delightful to be able to watch sheep wandering about, munching away, through the windows. So as long as you are aware the wifi/broadband won't be fast and you may or may not get phone reception, I would say this was a perfect place for a countryside holiday and the owners did everything they could to make it as pleasant as possible, even leaving a packet of much appreciated Welsh Cakes for us to find on our arrival.
