Holiday Rental Description

Holiday home
This holiday house has a fantastic history. Once home of the Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Pengolwg means "lookout point" and it was from this spot that the women of Criccieth would stand to look out for their loved ones returning from sea on the tall ships! "Wonderfully high ceilings, roaring log burners, carpets that will eat your feet and views across the sea, both castles and the rolling welsh coastline from almost every window help this wonderfully stylish house set itself apart from the others." Just an easy walk to Criccieth town centre which is laden with pubs, shops, restaurants and cafe's, on your way to or from the beach. A brilliant central hub for exploring all of the Llyn Peninsula as well as having Snowdonia right behind you. This house is just right to relax in after a day of adventure, or equally luxurious to spend the days in reading a book in front of the fire and playing board games.

Pengolwg is a large family house that is well-appointed but also very comfortable.. We felt very much at home there. It has the most amazing views - particularly from the bay windowed downstairs and upstairs rooms. It was wonderful to wake to the wonderful views of the sea and castle and in the early evening we even saw dolphins or porpoises out in the bay. The arrangement of bedroom accommodation across two floors and the generous bathroom allocation was ideal for our three generation family group (including 4 children age 8 mths to 4yrs). We had a wonderful holiday! (Additional information - not for publication please: We did have a few maintenance problems during our stay but these were dealt with effectively by your company and the owner and did not spoil our holiday).

We felt completely at ease the minute we walked through the door.. Everything was just as it said it would be, and we very quickly made ourselves at home. The views were outstanding from all areas and the children had great fun exploring all the rooms. All in all a brilliant, restful holiday enjoyed by everyone. Thank you.,
